Google's Pixel and Pixel XL phones are sold in three colors - Very Silver, Quite Black, and Really Blue. While the last color is certainly the most eye-catching, it's only been available in the United States. Google originally stated that the model would only be a temporary US exclusive, and now we are seeing it arrive in other countries - first in Canada with Rogers, and now the UK with EE.

Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong now actually arrested on bribery charges in South Korea

One month ago, an arrest warrant was issued for Lee Jae-yong, the de facto chairman of the entire Samsung conglomerate. The warrant later was nullified when challenged in court by Samsung, but a new warrant issued today has stuck: Mr. Lee was arrested in Seoul and charged with bribery. The entire scandal revolves around an ongoing political crisis involving the country's president. Lee is accused of paying bribes to organizations run by President Park's personal advisor, Choi Soon-sil, in exchange for political favors. But the details of the larger scandal are rather tedious, so I'll leave the BBC's excellent summary for you to peruse here.

AT&T opens up unlimited data plan, but keeps the terrible pricing and no tethering

After a few years of rarity, unlimited data plans are a thing again. Verizon kicked off this recent round of plan changes with its unlimited plan last week. It was then followed by T-Mobile, Sprint, and now AT&T. Like Tmo and Sprint, AT&T had an unlimited plan, but it's making some changes. The main one being you can buy it now—no more restricting access to DirecTV subscribers. It's still way expensive, though.

[Deal Alert] If you really need a Tango phone, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is $50 off ($450) with coupon

You probably don't need a Tango device. While the Google-developed spatial awareness tech is cool, it's also incredibly niche, and there are only a few fleeting practical applications for its use once you get past the admittedly nifty tech demos. But if you can in fact justify several hundred dollars for a one-off design, there's a way you can save a few bucks today. Lenovo is offering $50 off of the Phab 2 Pro, the first (and very likely only) consumer device with Tango camera tech, bringing it down to $449.99.

The cheap price is only offered through next March, then your bill goes up.

JerryRigEverything puts the Huawei Mate 9 through its paces, offers a thumbs up

JerryRigEverything is back with another one of his signature snuff films phone abuse videos. This time he's taking his graded MOH picks to the Mate 9, Huawei's latest premium offering. The JerryRigEverything YouTube channel doesn't really care about that - it's all about how much physical abuse the phone can take.
