This Android Wear-powered ostentation can be yours for a mere $200K (190’000 CHF).

Google Maps returns to China after eight-year absence [Update: Nope]

Google famously pulled its services out of the Chinese market in 2010 rather than comply with the government's censorship requirements, but it's dipping a toe back in today. Google has re-launched Google Maps for China, but not via the same app we have in the rest of the world. Most people will access it via a web page, but iPhones get an app. Hey, it's a start.

LG has reportedly scrapped the in-development G7, working on a new design

Despite the G6 and V30 being fairly good phones, LG's mobile division has continued to report losses year after year. Last week at CES, LG announced that it would no longer release smartphones on a yearly schedule, instead opting to launch new models "when it is needed." According to a new report from The Investor, LG CEO and Vice Chairman Jo Seong-jin told the company to start over on the upcoming G7 flagship.

I've officially recovered from CES (and I'm not sick like some people). Despite it being MLK Day, I'm here to provide you with some more app sales! The list today is a bit smaller and fairly so-so, but we press onward regardless. Have fun, and I'll see you all again on Wednesday.

Android 8.0 Oreo rolling out to Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7

The 2018 refresh of the Nokia 6 was released in China earlier this month, but it strangely still ran Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The Nokia 7 was introduced in October, but like the new Nokia 6, it's only available in the Chinese market at the moment. Now both phones are receiving an update to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Google's Arts & Culture app finds your artistic doppelgänger

Have you ever wondered if there was a portrait of you hidden away in some museum? Maybe you're really curious to see what you looked like draped in 16th century attire? Or perhaps you've always just had a sneaking suspicion that you're the reincarnation of Mona Lisa but could never prove it to your friends. If these are the sort of questions that keep you up at night, then you'll be happy to know that Google's engineers have been hard at work solving these issues for you.

Google's Arts & Culture app was really more intended for educational purposes, but a recent update to the app has turned it into a sort of viral selfie-matching game.

OnePlus is investigating customer reports of credit card fraud after buying from the company's website

Checking your credit card statement after wondering why your balance is so high and finding transactions that you don't recognize is among life's most uncomfortable moments. Many of us have been there, and even though you know there's a good chance you'll get the money back, that feeling of violation is hard to shake. Unfortunately, some recent OnePlus customers are going through exactly that at this moment in time.

A poll was posted on the OnePlus forum on Thursday asking users if they had noticed fraudulent charges on their credit cards since purchasing items on the OnePlus site. More than 70 respondents confirmed that they had been affected, with the majority saying they had bought from the site within the past 2 months.

[Update: Official] HTC U11 EYEs specs and photos leak in full ahead of unveil, courtesy of HTC's own site

It's always funny when manufacturers leak their own products ahead of their official launches. The U11 EYEs was thoroughly detailed a couple of days ago by Evan Blass, but while that leak was more comprehensive than most, it still didn't show everything. Now thanks to some mistakes at HTC, we can see all of the U11 EYEs's specs in full, right down to the launch promos.
