[Update: Get your movie while it's hot] Deal alert: Amityville: The Awakening will launch exclusively on Google Play on October 12 for free

Following the exclusive launch of Peter Dinklage's Rememory on Play Movies, Google doesn't seem to be slowing down and is already at it with another exclusive for its movies and TV service. This time, forget the drama, we're full on horror/thriller/gore with Amityville: The Awakening.

I am not a fan of the genre — I have one heart, why torture it by watching this stuff? — so I had to watch the trailer with one and a half eyes closed.

T-Mobile will limit LTE roaming in Canada and Mexico to 5GB starting November 12

One of T-Mobile's big "uncarrier" moves was to offer international roaming data to most customers for free. However, Canada and Mexico were special cases where you'd get full-speed LTE data on most plans. There wasn't any special limit on that data, which was remarkably generous—too generous, it would seem. T-Mobile is rolling that feature back and limiting LTE to 5GB per month in those countries.

Motorola releases kernel source code for Moto G5S

'Quantity over quality' must be Motorola's new motto, because the Moto G5S and G5S Plus are the 11th and 12th phones the company has released this year. The G5S is yet another budget phone from Moto, a device that blurs the lines between mid-range and flagship. You can read our review to learn more (we tried out the Plus, but the devices are very similar), but it comes out as a weird product that doesn't make much sense alongside the existing lineup.

Rebel Twins has released a sequel to their hit endless runner Dragon Hills. It is titled Dragon Hills 2, and it offers all of the same destructible endless runner fun found in the original, but this time it has a zombie twist. A fittingly overused theme for what is already an overused genre.

Amazon launches accounts for teenagers, with approval control for parents

If you've got teenage children I can imagine its difficult to get the right balance between allowing them the freedom to develop into responsible adults and watching their every move so they don't mess up. I don't have children myself but I was one once, so I guess I have some idea what it's like. Amazon knows this, too, and so it's launching a new feature that gives teenagers a bit more freedom when it comes to shopping. But not too much.

Amazon's new accounts for teens, specifically those between 13 and 17, give them independence to shop on their own, but with certain controls in place.
