AT&T wants to ease the pain and frustration a little bit by offering users who switch from another carrier up to $650 in credit per line. For a family, that can potentially be a huge savings. Here's how it works.

Overall, most of us would probably say that Android is a pretty efficient mobile OS. Quick access to features and apps that users want—like Google or the camera, for example—are there out of the box, making it easy to do what needs to be done without a lot of hassle. One area that could be improved, however, is something that everyone likely does often: accessing contacts.

We've all had to deal with slippery phones before, and it's terrible. The fear of dropping your brand new gadget is a constant dark cloud that oftentimes takes away some of the joy one generally feels when they get a new device. No one wants that.

Whether you're a hardcore mobile gamer or just someone who likes to use games as a distraction to pass the time, basically everyone plays games on their smartphone and/or tablet. With the popularity of mobile games in recent years, however, we've also seen a rise in in-app purchases and higher-priced mobile games. But sometimes it's just hard to justify spending any additional money on virtualized currency or other in-game perks.Amazon gets that, and the introduction of the Amazon Appstore and Amazon Coins are the company's answer to high game and IAP costs. First off, let's take a closer look at what's going on with Underground.

Today, there's no shortage of ways to stream music from your smartphone or tablet. Apps like Pandora and Google Play Music make easy work of offering access to a plethora of tunes, but if you want the best experience either has to offer, you have to hand over a monthly fee. PlayTime Internet Radio from Handy Apps is a new app that brings access to over 50,000 internet radio stations to your mobile, completely free of charge.

If you're not into how your daily carry is looking these days, there's a good chance you'll find something to spruce it up from dbrand. Whether you want to add some color, murder it out, throw a touch of nature into the mix, or spice things up with the aesthetic of metal, there's basically something for everyone.

More and more often, smartphones are becoming the "safe place" for many users to store private data — photos, conversations, passwords, bank account information…you name it, it's probably on the phone. The problem is that oftentimes this data isn't necessarily secured by said users. Things like private photos are easy to find by jumping into the gallery app. Conversations aren't hidden anywhere in the system — the SMS app reveals all without any sort of barrier. And that all goes without mentioning the private things that could be held within social networks, email, or other apps that may not necessarily be protected behind a password.

Guys, being a parent can be expensive. But if you know where to shop, it doesn't have to be so expensive. In fact, if you look in just the right places, you can actually save yourself a ton of money. Now, I know what you're thinking: but I already save money by shopping online; that's no secret.

Let's be real here - some people just don't like using security on their phones. Having to put in a PIN code or pattern every single time you just want to check a notification can be quite annoying. We get that. And apparently so does Liquidum, the developers of Hexlock - App Lock Security.

Before there was Android Wear and the Apple Watch, there was Pebble. Honestly, it kind of started the whole smartwatch trend - sure, there were others before it, but Pebble was the first to really gain what could be described as popularity. In fact, it was the only watch dbrand offered skins for at first. At least until now.

Most of the time, Google Maps is great. You know when it's not so great? When a data connection isn't present. In fact, it's basically useless without some form of data. If you're ever in a situation where you're 1) low on data, 2) without a connection, or 3) roaming, and need to find a way to get from A to B, then a good offline solution is clutch.

In recent years, there's been a interesting marriage between technology and nature - at least where aesthetics are concerned. The popularity of wood being used in device design has skyrocketed with modern handsets, and bamboo has been the most sought-after of the bunch. The unfortunate part is that not every manufacturer has embraced this new design element, and the ones that have are jacking the price up for the use of natural materials.

Sometimes, we all just need a little space. On our phones, specifically. And by space, I mean gigabytes - more of them, ideally. So, that's why Avast came out with an app called GrimeFighter: a precision tool to fend off byte-encroachment caused by apps with out of control caching.
