There is another big Pushbullet update hitting Google Play today, and you're going to want to check this one out. The new version of Pushbullet adds a notification mirroring feature that shoots all your Android notifications over to the desktop via the Chrome extension.

After a bit of testing, the CyanogenMod Installer app has hit Google Play for everyone. When combined with the desktop client (and a USB cable), this becomes the fastest way to install CyanogenMod. It won't work on every phone, but it completely automates things on supported devices.

Can you believe the holiday shopping season is almost upon us, pressing down with the weight of a thousand suns and squeezing the last bit of cash out of your bank account? Black Friday deals can be a little misleading – not everything is actually a deal anymore. The new SlickDeals Black Friday app is now in the Play Store to help you save some cash later this month. If that's not enough, FatWallet dropped its Black Friday app in the store a few weeks ago.

Dayframe from Cloud.TV was just released as a beta app last week, and today it has hit version 1.0. This is an app that turns your Android device into a digital photo frame with a ton of options. The new update also includes something that will make upcoming KitKat-powered tablets much better as photo frames – immersive mode.

It seems like if you're willing to strap a computer to your face, you should at least be able to listen to music with it. However, that isn't an option with Google Glass, but it will be in just a few short weeks. Google has announced that Glass Explorers will soon have the option to stream tunes from Google Play Music on Glass. There will also be new Glass stereo earbuds available for a proper listening experience.

Butterscotch Shenanigans makes some pretty neat games with tight gameplay and alarmingly hilarious graphics. The great art is the work of one half of Butterscotch, Sam Coster. The guys at Butterscotch posted some not great news today, the gist of which is that Sam has a bit of the cancer. They pinged us to say it was cool to tell you all about this for one very important reason – things are going to slow down a bit with regard to game development, so they're doing the community a solid by making Towelfight 2 free-to-play.

So you didn't get a Nexus 5 – that's okay. You can still get that shiny new KitKat look and feel with the new Nova Launcher beta. It won't get you all the way there (the transparent nav bar is limited, for example), but the new version of this third-party homescreen has a lot of little visual tweaks to make it look almost like the real thing.

A new week has dawned, and that means the time for carefree fun is at an end. Or is it? There's always the fun of finding a new app or game on sale. We can even help with that.

Most Android devices and ROMs these days include some kind of support for displaying the battery percentage in the status bar, but not stock Android. For whatever reason, Google has neglected this very basic feature – until now. Android 4.4 on the Nexus 5 includes a battery percentage display option, but it's pretty buried and far from an ideal implementation.

Sprint's network has been undergoing a major reconstruction in the last year or so, but there are still some problems to be ironed out. Suspiciously, it has been Sprint's policy this whole time to pretend that the super-slow 1xRTT network doesn't exist. Instead, its devices just display 3G like everything is okay. The new Nexus 5 is apparently playing ball with Sprint too – if you're in a 1x zone, the phone will still read 3G.

Google has just started rolling out the new XE11 update to Google Glass units, and the system image is already online and available for tinkering. Just head on over to the Glass developer site to download the newest image and rooted bootloader, if you're into that sort of thing.

The newest title out of Gameloft is pretty self-explanatory. Tank Battles is about, you guessed it, tank battles. This game invites you to design and control your own custom war machine and fight your way through 80 top-down missions of increasing difficulty. Fighting computers not doing it for you? There's multiplayer too.

Google Voice was a hugely exciting service when it launched a few years back, but it seems like Google has put it on the back burner recently. Maybe things are picking up, though. Just last week Google announced that Voice was finally adding support for MMS, and now there's more news on that front. T-Mobile has opted to allow MMS messages sent from its users to be delivered to Google Voice numbers (sort of).

Samsung's new Galaxy Note 10.1 is not an budget-oriented device – the 32GB version of this stylus-packing tablet is retailing for $600 before tax. A deal currently running on eBay knocks $30 off the price and includes free shipping and no tax (unless you live in Maryland). That makes it a bit more reasonable, depending on where you live.

There are many thousands of worthy apps in Google Play, but not all of them are on sale. If you're going to spend money, you might as well do it when there's a sale on, right? Better jump on these before they're gone.

Whenever there is a new version of Android, everyone starts wondering when (and if) their phones will be updated. Sony is getting out in front of the questions by clarifying its plans for a number of phones and tablets. The updates will start flowing soon, but not for all devices.

Remember the kinder, gentler YouTube comments powered by Google+? Well, they're finally rolling out across the internet, and the Android app is no exception. Like it or not, Google+ is all up in your YouTube.

Physics puzzlers aren't just about flinging birds across the screen – sometimes you need to build something. In fact, sometimes you need to build something really complicated and awesome. That's the trail blazed by Apparatus, and Principia is following its path. This game invites you to design bridges, towers, cars, rocket ships and more using over 150 different objects.
