There are innumerable calendar apps in Google Play, but one of the real standouts is Sunrise Calendar. This app has a clean interface, a solid widget, and support for plugins. However, it only worked with Google and iCloud accounts at launch. Now you can add Exchange to that list.

Pricing changes don't usually happen this fast in the wireless industry. It seems like T-Mobile and Sprint both have multiple contingencies in place to attack one another based on what goes down each day. Following T-Mobile's announcement of the free LTE upgrade for one year, Sprint has revealed a new unlimited data plan that's only $60 per month. There are a few caveats, though.

T-Mobile has really been stepping up the rhetoric against Sprint since the backroom acquisition deal allegedly fell through a few weeks ago. T-Mobile's latest promotion takes direct aim at the Now Network, but it targets the other big carriers too. Starting next week, if you bring a friend over to T-Mobile on a Simple Choice plan, you and they both get a free upgrade to unlimited LTE for one year. Also, there will be awkward dancing, if T-Mobile's promo image is to be believed.

Still riding high from the success of the LG G3, the Korean OEM is looking to capture some of the budget market with a pair of low-cost 3G phones. The LG L Fino and L Bello have several of the features that made the LG G3 great with much more modest specs.

All it takes is a single button and some concentration to help a bizarre type of jellyfish perpetuate its species in Deep Under the Sky. In return, you get to explore an amazing technicolor world on the dark side of Venus. This is the newest game from the developer of the similarly trippy Incredipede, but it's a much more zen experience.

You have an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the latest gaming craze to sweep the nation—Swing Copters. It's like Flappy Bird, but vertical. Yeah, it goes up instead of to the right. Revolutionary. This is the second game from Dong Nguyen of .GEARS Studios, and will presumably be the first one he doesn't unpublish for mysterious reasons in a few months. It's free with ads, but the supposed in-app purchase to remove them doesn't seem to be present in the Android version. It's $1.29 on iOS.

IR ports are becoming a thing again with flagship devices from Samsung and HTC now commonly sporting them. They aren't used for terribly slow data transfers like back in the old days, but for controlling TVs and stuff. The built-in apps on the phones are okay, but Smart IR Remote is in a league of its own, and now it's added voice commands through Google Now. Take a gander at this video and be impressed.

Maybe you held off buying a Chromecast, even though it's totally awesome, or perhaps you just need another one. Either way, you can pick one up right now on Groupon for $25. It's refurbished, but $10 off isn't bad.

Big changes are happening over at Humble Bundle that could mean a lot more games for you and more money for charity. It's only been a few weeks since the most recent Humble Mobile Bundle launched, but there are going to be many more going forward. The Humble Bundle website is getting a special mobile section that will serve as home to a new Android bundle every two weeks, and it kicks off with the Sega bundle.

Plenty of US smartphone users have owned a ZTE device, but they might not know it. The Chinese OEM has been providing phones for carriers to re-brand for years, but its US presence has grown considerably. The unlocked Nubia 5S Mini will be a test of how positively the brand is viewed when it launches on August 27th for $279 on Amazon.

Secret is a social networking app that allows users to share pictures and text anonymously. It's become the hot new thing in some circles, but not everyone is happy about it. A court case in Brazil has resulted in Judge Paulo Cesar de Carvalho issuing a preliminary injunction requiring Google to remove the app from the Play Store and remotely delete it from users' devices. Apple was hit with the same ruling.

A new version of Pushbullet is rolling out today that allows your clipboard to transcend the constraints of a single device. Just flip the switch, and all your devices will automatically sync clipboard content through Pushbullet. Cool, right?

It looks like Facebook is again testing a new bit of functionality in its Android app with a subset of users. After the most recent update, people are suddenly seeing a built-in browser that loads timeline links rather than booting you out to a full browser. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing depends heavily on how you feel about the Facebook app in general.

Buried in the press release announcing the Sharp Aquos Crystal on Sprint was the first official mention of Sprint App Pass. It's a subscription-based app store the carrier plans to pre-load on all its Android devices, and we have the full scoop on features thanks to some information we've been given. The gist of it is that you pay a monthly fee and get access to all the stuff offered by App Pass, but only for as long as you keep paying.

Remember the obnoxious gameplay in Flappy Bird that got everyone so upset? Amazing Brick is a little like that, but the gameplay mechanics are slightly more fleshed out. It does look like another Flappy Bird clone (rotated 90 degrees), but there's more to it.

Phones produced for the Japanese market are usually so radically different than the ones we're used to that you don't really feel like you're missing anything. However, the new Sharp Aquos Crystal may pique your interest. The difference is that you might have a chance to buy this one soon. This device comes in two sizes—5-inches and 5.5-inches. Both of them have teeny tiny, miniscule bezels. Almost none of the body peeks out from the edge of the screen.

Technically, Asus only posted a partial silhouette, but that looks like a watch, right? It's not a phone or a tablet, so that really just leaves a smartwatch, which is all the rage right now. Also "Time has been transformed..."

As the game says – you are mountain, you are god. However, that's pretty much all it says. MOUNTAIN is a procedurally generated ambient game where you interact with a floating mountain hanging in space. While observing, you'll find objects which can be collected and organized, but I'm not sure why.

We've heard about the newest HTC Butterfly before from Japanese carrier KDDI, but now HTC is officially welcoming it into the Butterfly family. That's not a name you hear much in the US, but it's one of HTC's premier brands overseas. This device will be known as the J Butterfly HTL23 in Japan and the Butterfly 2 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and throughout Southeast Asia. It's a reasonably high end device, but it's not all metal like the M8. As a tradeoff, it's water-resistant.

Owners of HTC's latest flagship on Verizon have been patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) waiting on the promised update to Android 4.4.3 for some time now, but it looks like they'll be waiting a little longer. Even though the T-Mobile One M8 got its update today, HTC's US president Jason Mackenzie has confirmed on Twitter the OTA is currently targeted for mid-September on Verizon.
