The last few SwiftKey updates have been focused on making the keyboard faster and more responsive, which has been sorely needed for some time. Whether or not that has been successful depends on who you ask, but the developers have now rolled out another update that is supposed to offer additional performance boosts. Maybe this one will do the trick.

The last Ascend Mate from Huawei was an interesting device with an affordable price point, but you had to make some sacrifices to get comfortable with that sweet phablet-y goodness. It was only 720p, had an older processor, and the storage was lacking. The newly announced Ascend Mate7 is a big phone with many fewer sacrifices.

The specs are a lot more presentable this time around. Here's what we've got to work with.

All the apps on your phone feed log data into the Android logcat, but maybe you don't want the log to have all that information about what you're doing on the phone. If you're rooted, a new app from Wanam can help. Stop Log disables all Android loggers at the system level.

Sometimes it's nice to know you're not completely alone in the world, especially when it comes to esoteric error messages. RPC:S-7:AEC-0 – what the hell is that, Google? An increasing number of users (myself included) are seeing this error message when trying to install or update an app on any device, and there is currently no fix.

There are plenty of things you can do with a smart device strapped to your wrist that happens to be full of motion and orientation sensors. For instance, you can get quick tips on your golf game with VimoGolf. Just fire it up on the watch, and take a swing.

The Sony leaks are not over yet—Xperia Blog has what appears to be a press shot of the Xperia Z3 in copper, as well as a glimpse of Sony's new SmartBand. With an e-ink screen, this accessory will probably get mega-long battery life.

You have to admire Verizon's commitment to the robot thing. Every year the @DroidLanding Twitter account comes back to life in the lead up to a new Droid announcement. This year it's just in time for the Motorola event on Thursday.

Pocket is one of the most popular ways to read cluttered web pages in a format that won't drive you to the edge of madness. The Android app has been consistently awesome, and today it's getting even better with version 5.6. This time attention is being paid to how you manage your articles.

The first beta of Paranoid Android 4.6 has been made available for download and it includes a feature the team has been working on for some time. Dynamic System Bars (DSB) allows the status and navigation bars to match the action bar color in apps. If you've ever used the Tinted Status bar mod for Xposed, this is a similar idea.

The Facebook Android app is hugely popular whether you like it or not (I'm assuming you don't). The social network is already the largest online community in the world, but now Zuckerberg and company can add another feather in their collective hat—Facebook for Android is the first non-Google app to reach 1 billion downloads in Google Play. Are the end times at hand?

Facebook is even outpacing several of Google's own apps like Chrome, Hangouts, and Google Search (I don't even know how that's possible).
