Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter 3 came out late last year, giving players access to a huge role-playing arena combat game with no admission price. The game has 4 different classes, 16 arenas, and 5 difficulty levels. Of course, none of that stopped people from complaining about the in-app purchases. But the new update sweetens the deal with honest-to-goodness multiplayer.

The game was supposed to launch with multiplayer, but Gameloft couldn't get things together in time. Now you can still journey alone, but co-op multiplayer is available to help you along the way. If you're the more adversarial type, there are also deathmatch player vs.

play_store_icon

Since time immemorial, the Android Market app let you see a list of just your purchased apps under a "Not installed" section. When the Play Store change happened, that list was still there. Then at some point with all the stealth updates, that list of paid apps went away. Thanks to Paul O'Brien over at Modaco, we have the Legacy Play app that solves that problem by bringing back the "Not installed" list.

O'Brien was able to retrieve an old version of the Play Store client and hack around to make it run alongside the official Play Store. In the Legacy Play Store your My Apps screen will again have a handy list of all your paid apps that are not installed on the device.

Google-Nexus-7-Tablet

Google's new tablet, the Nexus 7 is already a pretty sweet deal. Only $200 for a Tegra 3 tablet with a quality screen and solid construction is almost more than we could ask for. The fact that Google is nice enough to throw in a $25 credit to Google Play is just the icing on the cake. It turns out that it might be even better, though. By logging into a different account, the Nexus 7 keeps handing out $25 credits like a sleek little cash machine.

You can't just add a secondary account to the device and get the free money.

It's nothing new to see Amazon Wireless undercutting the brick and mortar mobile phone shops, but this slew of newly announced deals is fairly good. Some of the top selling phones, several of them still brand new, are on sale for anyone signing up as a new customer.

Phones

The Motorola Droid Razr is the oldest phone among the bunch, having come out late last year. It is also the only Verizon deal being offered; although $0.01 isn't bad. Anyone willing to jump to Sprint is in for a treat, as Amazon is selling the HTC Evo 4G LTE for $79.99, down from $129.99.

Solid Explorer Beta was released a few months ago, and was instantly a fabulous file management app. It's clever use of swipable columns and fragments makes it easy to move things around. If you've noticed a distinct lack of updates as of late, there's a reason for that. The developer is unable to update the original app anymore, so it's been unpublished.

The old beta version of the app is now expired, and directs users to update in order to continue using Solid Explorer. The new version, going by the moniker Solid Explorer Beta2, has a few improvements, and the changelog includes a little apology:

I have to apologize all of you that you have to install the app from scratch.

AOSP_Bugless_Beast

Jelly Bean was announced at Google I/O just recently, but a posting from Google's Android open source guru, Jean-Baptiste Queru has confirmed that Android 4.1 is hitting the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository right now. Time for the developers among you to update your clients to get all the official bits.

Android-Jelly-Bean

This release will be tagged as android-4.1.1_r1 in AOSP. While the source is going live now, the full proprietary binaries for Google-blessed devices won't be rolled out until later. Google plans to directly support the Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Xoom through AOSP. Be aware that the addition of the Jelly Bean code to AOSP doesn't mean any OTA updates are on the way.

You may remember a wonderful little free physics game called Rocket Bunnies from a while back. Similarly, there was a cool RPG known as Heroes Call that came out not too long ago. The developer behind both these games is Defiant Development, and now they've brought the popular iOS game Ski Safari to Android.

In Ski Safari, you play the roll of Sven, who finds himself in the unenviable position of skiing down a hillside to keep ahead of an avalanche. There's a fair bit of action here as you recruit hapless animals along the slopes to help you stay ahead of the unstoppable wall of snow.

If the combination of summer heat and apocalyptic storms have you feeling a little down, Madfinger Games is here to help. Madfinger develops some really killer titles like Shadowgun, Samurai II, and the upcoming Dead Trigger (which was actually supposed to land today, but has been delayed until tomorrow for some last-minute bug fixes). Starting today, you can get Shadowgun and Samurai II on sale for $0.99.

Shadowgun is an amazing third-person shooter with great graphics and surprisingly good voice acting. It even controls well, for a touchscreen shooter. Samurai II is a top-down hack and slash adventure game that is similarly lovely to look at with its neat cell-shaded vibe.
