Android is far from the first platform Todoist has landed on, but fans of the service have been anxiously waiting. Todoist is a clean, snappy to-do list manager that has a ton of cloud features to keep your busy life under control. The app is free to use in basic mode, but the advanced features are gonna cost you.

The main interface in Todoist is just a super-minimalist task list organized in chronologic order. It is still recognizable as Todoist to anyone that has used it on other platforms, but it has enough Holo UI elements that it fits in nicely on Android.

It was a little surprising to see Google announce a new Nexus device this year without LTE support. While LTE deployment is still lagging behind in many regions, the good old USA is fast becoming blanketed with speedy 4G. Now that the Nexus 4 is in the wild, iFixit has taken it apart, and you'll never guess what they found. Yes, a 7-band 4G LTE radio chip. The plot thickens...

The chip in question, the Qualcomm WTR1605L (highlighted in green above), supports all currently operating LTE networks around the world. This chip is probably a holdover from the LG Optimus G design, which the Nexus 4 is based on.

Do you have a hankering for a big phone? Before you answer, know that I'm talking about a massive mobile phone with a stylus here. Well, there's a big phone deal going on if you're willing to hitch your wagon to AT&T for two years. Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is on sale for just $249.99.

note

The Note II is selling for $300 or more on other carriers, and AT&T itself is still asking $300 from the unwashed masses. But you know better, right? Just head over to Amazon, and you can get the black or white version of the device and save fifty bucks.

Twitter's official Android app has gone through a number of iterations, and it's not half bad these days. It might not conform to Android's Holo UI, but the app has many millions of downloads. A new update just hit the play Store, and it should make the experience noticeably better.

There are plenty of games in Google Play these days, but I sometimes feel like developers forget to code in the fun. Games are supposed to be fun, right? And what's more fun than shooting anything and everything in your path with a rapidly rotating assortment of weapons? Not much, if you ask me. With that in mind, Expendable: Rearmed has a lot of potential. This is a port of a classic top-down arcade shooter from the Dreamcast, and it is all about destruction.

Gameplay

I am told there is a backstory to Expendable: Rearmed, but try as I might, I can't think of any reason to care about it.

When Motorola announced a few months back that it was not going to update most of its 2011 Android devices to Jelly Bean, owners were understandably upset. Moto attempted to calm the masses by offering a $100 trade-in credit. Now the details have been finalized and the program is looking much less appealing than everyone had hoped.

tradeup

Eligible devices are the Droid 3, Droid X2, Admiral, Atrix 2, Atrix 4G, Cliq2, Electrify, Photon 4G, XPRT, Titanium, and Triumph. If you have one of these, you're in the program. Rather than offering you a discount on the purchase of your new phone, this is basically a glorified rebate.

One of the coolest features included in Android 4.1 was the enhanced notifications. If an app supports the feature, you can swipe down and expand the data being shown. Many of the stock apps do this, but third-party developers have been taking advantage as well. Notification Weather offers its own twist on notifications by adding rich weather forecasts to your Jelly Bean device's notification shade.

This app's notification comes in two forms. The first is a single line with the current conditions. The other is a two-line block with the current conditions and a 4-day forecast. You can choose in the settings what units you want, how often it updates, and whether it defaults to the expanded or collapsed view.

The GoPro line of cameras are nifty little devices. These waterproof and shockproof cameras shoot 1080p video at 30fps and are compatible with a whole range of cool rugged accessories. As you film yourself in harrowing situations with a GoPro, you might not have the hands to properly operate it. That's where the new remote app comes into play.

Fire up the app, and you can stream the video output from the GoPro right to your screen. You'll need a reasonably fast Android device, and ICS or higher is recommended. You can also control recording, image capture, and settings all from within the app.
