Many carriers now offer some form of WiFi calling, but Republic Wireless bases its entire business model on making WiFi calls a seamless part of the experience. A new feature of Republic Wireless' hybrid MVNO network called Bonded Calling aims to improve call quality by using both WiFi and cellular data at the same time to fill in the gaps when you're stuck on a spotty WiFi network.

Perhaps the LG G5 isn't what you're looking for in a phone. No big, LG also has the V10. It's bigger, has a secondary display, and now it has Marshmallow on AT&T. The UI won't change to match the G5, but you'll get all the usual Marshmallow goodies.

Google's in-house Project Fi has a great app compared to what you get from other carriers. Not that it would be hard to make that happen, but it is pretty good. It's getting even better today with an update (version I.2.1) that adds a new widget and better control over call forwarding.

The simple gameplay of Crossy Road has made it a hugely popular casual game on Android, but now it's a bit more competitive with the addition of multiplayer mode. Up to four players can cross the road (and other things) at the same time and do their best to sabotage each other.

So you need to access your PC, but you aren't nearby? TeamViewer might be helpful, assuming you had the foresight to install it on your computer. If not, sucks for you because TeamViewer just got an update with several handy new features.

The LG G5 hasn't really lived up to expectations, and the price is up there. If that phone isn't doing it for you, but you have a hankering for a removable battery, the LG V10 might be the phone for you. It has similar hardware to the G4, but it's bigger with sturdier construction, and there's that second display. It's not usually a cheap phone, but the unlocked version is on sale today for $449.99 on eBay.

If you want to make deep and lasting changes to your device, you need to unlock the bootloader. Not all phones can be unlocked, but you can add the LG G5 to the list of those that can. Well, the unlocked international G5 (H850). It's now supported by LG's official unlock tool.

I know what you're thinking. There just aren't enough carrier bloatware widgets on the home screen of your phone. Well, AT&T has heard your unspoken pleas. There's an update rolling out to the Galaxy S7 Edge on AT&T that includes various performance improvements, but also a new DirecTV widget on the home screen. Yay?

Sony has long offered a feature on its phones called Stamina Mode. When activated, unauthorized apps can't run in the background or run sync jobs. The problem, however, is Stamina Mode interferes with Android 6.0 Doze Mode. Sony took it out of early Marshmallow builds, but the company has now confirmed it's coming back.

Now is your chance to take control (mostly) of a massive Imperial Knight and bring glory to your house. Warhammer 40k: Freeblade is an action-packed on-rails shooter based in the Warhammer universe. Your noble house has been destroyed, and now you have to use your customizable battle mech to exact revenge. All it takes is a few taps.

Android N won't be out for at least a few more months (and much longer for most devices), but you can get a little taste of the dev preview on your phone right now. The new Google Camera build that shipped with the new N preview is hitting the Play Store, and we've got an APK you can install.

Kittens are cute and fluffy, unless of course they are exploding. Exploding things are bad, as you will quickly learn in Exploding Kittens, a new Android game based on the card game of the same name. It comes from (among others) Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal. It's a fast-paced, friendly game of Russian Roulette, but with exploding cats in place of bullets. Don't have friends? No problem, you can play with strangers online.

Google has added a new member to its list of Android Auto partners today. Lincoln has joined up and announced a new 2017 model with support for Google's car platform. The 2017 Lincoln MKC will include Android Auto when it launches in the coming months. The company is keen to point out that it's mostly women who drive this smaller SUV, which still costs upward of $30,000.

Google is rolling out some big features for Inbox today aimed at making it easier to stay on top of the deluge of email you probably deal with. That's really the idea behind Inbox itself, so this all goes to the heart of what makes Inbox preferable to boring old Gmail for some. This app is getting three new experiences including better event overviews, newsletter link previews, and a "save to Inbox" feature with its own Chrome extension.

A phone just isn't complete until there's a pink version of it. Samsung released the Galaxy S7 in four different colors (varying by market) a few weeks ago, and now "pink gold" has been added to the mix. It's not gold, and it's not pink, but pink gold.

Hexage has been a fixture in Android gaming since the very beginning with titles like Radiant and Buka. The latest title out of Hexage is a strategic battle fortress builder called REDCON. It's got big guns, solid graphics, and in-app purchases designed by a sane human being. What more do you want?

Google has released its second Android Security Annual report, and it's full of big, impressive numbers. The full report is 49 pages long and covers the state of Android security in detail, but the basics are covered in Google's latest blog post. The gist is, Google scans all the things to keep Android users safe. We're talking about billions of apps; the Verify Apps service sure is working overtime.

Owners of the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 have been stuck with a non-unlockable bootloader since the device came out more than a year ago, but that's changing thanks to noted modder Beaups. With a few ADB commands, you can unlock the bootloader and open up a whole world of modding possibilities. Of course, you might also break everything. So, proceed at your own risk.
