One of the main differentiators that Waze has over its competitors, including Google Maps, is user interaction. Wazers can report accidents, road closures, police car sightings, and so on, all of which helps other users out. It's what makes the app so popular. Google Maps has already pulled data from Waze for many years, though it looks like more features from it are coming.

Early in the year, we'd heard that OnePlus was "investigating" potential deals that could be struck with US carriers. News on that front has been pretty silent since then, but OnePlus founder/CEO Pete Lau has confirmed to PCMag that the company is now in talks with US carriers. Additionally, a 5G-capable phone is said to be coming next year.

Several variants of the Galaxy S7 have already received their Android 8.0 Oreo updates, but definitely not all. AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint have pushed the update out in the US, and some international models have gotten Oreo as well. It's now time for the update to be delivered to the Galaxy S7 Duos (SM-G930O), which is a Chinese dual-SIM model.

There's no shortage of truly wireless earbuds on the market these days, with entrants from Apple, Bose, Bragi, Samsung, and more all having their own strengths and weaknesses. Jaybird's RUN is a pretty good option, with a connectivity issue being fixed shortly after launch. One of our main complaints was pricing, but this drop to 4.99 on Amazon addresses that problem. Our favorite part about the Jaybird RUN was its great fit, which a lot of wireless earbuds unfortunately don't have. Audio is pretty good, though it's not class-leading, and battery life is alright. We initially complained about the connectivity and price as well, though the problem we had with the connection was quickly fixed (though some other owners have other issues), and the price problem has obviously been mitigated with this deal. The current price of 4.99 is $45 off the MSRP and the lowest price we've seen on Amazon. The discount is only available on the Jet (black) color. Prime shipping is free, though you will have to wait until July 2nd for the earbuds to ship.Source: Amazon

Samsung already offers more than a few options for the Always On Display clock, but you can never have too many options to choose from. The company has just introduced an app called ClockFace for all devices running Android 8.0 Oreo and up, adding almost 30 new faces to the lineup.

The Galaxy Note and Tab S lines are both due for a refresh soon. The Note8 is almost a year old, and the Tab S3 is almost a year and a half. Luckily, the successors to those have just passed through the FCC, indicating that they're probably coming soon.

Sphero is known for creating clever, oddball electronic toys, and this Spider-Man one is no different. Unfortunately for Sphero, these toys tend to be discounted quite severely after a few months on the market; for instance, the $300 Ultimate Lightning McQueen can now be had for 9 on Amazon. In a similar manner, this Spider-Man toy has dropped from 9.99 to just .99 at Best Buy.[EMBED_YT]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YicJOhRzg_Q[/EMBED_YT]Sphero's Spider-Man features speech recognition, animated LCD eyes, "Spider-Sense" motion detection via an IR sensor, the ability to create a story, and more. Its charging base, which is shaped like a web, allows it to get over two hours of play on a full charge, and its Wi-Fi connection allows it to receive firmware updates. It's a lot of tech for such a small toy.Chances are that it didn't sell too well at its $149.99 MSRP because it just doesn't look that fancy, but .99 is sure to entice a lot more people. Hit the source link below to grab one from Best Buy. Slickdeals says the discount is over, but it's still available via both shipping and in-store pickup for me.[EMBED_APP]https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sphero.spiderman[/EMBED_APP]Source: Best BuyVia: Slickdeals

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) event is going on right now, and that means that lots of education-focused Chromebook-related items are being released. We just posted about STAEDTLER's new Noris stylus for Chromebooks yesterday, and today, Belkin has unveiled two USB-C keyboards intended for use with Chrome OS tablets.

Since Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods last year, we've been seeing more and more discounts become available at Whole Foods stores for Prime members. Initially restricted to Florida, these discounts spread to 12 more states two weeks later. They'll soon be available across the United States in all Whole Foods stores nationwide.Amazon / Whole Foods had initially said that the savings would roll out across the country "over the course of this summer," but given that we're only a few days into summer, it seems like they're ahead of schedule. The 10% discount on sale items is persistent, but the exclusive savings change every week. Here are some of them:

With the wide variety of touchscreen Chromebooks on the market, it only makes sense that a stylus would come onto the market at some point. In partnership with Google, STAEDTLER has confirmed that the education-focused Noris digital stylus for Chromebooks will be available by the end of summer. This is almost certainly the companion stylus to the leaked Acer Chrome OS tablet.

The whale known as the Nexus 6 hasn't been in the news for some time, but a pretty annoying bug has been plaguing owners for almost two months now. "Ok Google" voice detection basically isn't working, showing the Voice Match setup page whenever the launch phrase is said.

Google Play Music used to offer free albums every few weeks. It looked like a win-win for everyone: users could get some free tunes, and Play Music would attract people who might not have used the service otherwise. Perhaps Google didn't feel that it was worth doing anymore, as we hadn't seen anything of the sort for over two years. But now, albums from Ariana Grande and The Beach Boys are just $0 from Play Music.

Panasonic's Toughbook line has been around for a while, offering rugged devices for those workers who need them. They're not cheap, and neither is its latest Toughbook product: the FZ-T1. Like most of these devices, this ~$1500 handheld has some downright mediocre specs for the price, but at least it has Android 8.1 Oreo.

When the OnePlus One debuted back in 2014, it was sold as an enthusiast phone with insane bang for the buck. Fast forward four years, and Android 8.1 Oreo in the form of LineageOS 15.1 has just been released for it. The OPPO Find 7a and Find 7s and Galaxy S5 Plus/LTE-A are getting 15.1 as well, and the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G has returned with LOS 14.1.

Google is currently testing a new design for its account page --- you know, the one buried in settings under the Google tab. In spite of the timing, it's not actually a feature of Android P DP3; it's just another one of Google's beloved server-side tests.

Most people know of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, but there's a third, often-forgotten brother: the AT&T-exclusive Galaxy S7 active. One of the risks you assume when purchasing such a niche phone, though, is that updates may be delayed. Luckily, S7 active owners have only had to wait around two weeks longer than those with standard AT&T S7 and S7 edge phones have.

Everyone loves vertical video, right?Everyone loves vertical video, right? Well, we've got good news for you; Instagram has unveiled IGTV, a new video app with longer content exclusively in the beloved vertical format. Additionally, the company has just reached one billion users, which is no small feat.

It took a while, but US carriers are finally rolling Android 8.0 Oreo out to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. AT&T was, surprisingly enough, the first to do so, with Verizon hot on its heels after two false alarms. Sprint is now rolling the update out to its S7/S7 edge phones, leaving T-Mobile as the last major carrier to update them.

Samsung is no stranger to releasing new colors for its phones, but the US usually misses out on these new colors. Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red were announced for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ last month, but the United States hadn't been name-dropped in Samsung's press release. However, it looks like the US will be getting the S9/S9+ in Sunrise Gold after all (though there's unfortunately no mention of Burgundy Red coming as well).

Late last month, Project Fi announced that the Moto G6, LG G7, and LG V35 would be added to the lineup. The Moto G6 went up for pre-order that same day, but the G7 and V35 were said to be coming "next month." Well, it's now the next month, and the G7 and V35 can now be pre-ordered from Fi.
