Bringing an incredible art style and steampunk-inspired puzzling fun to Android today, Hothead Games released Machinarium to Google's Play Store.

Machinarium puts players in a "world of robots," requiring quick wit to solve puzzles, work through challenges, and complete various mini-games to help the protagonist Josef save his robotic girlfriend in the city.

If you're wondering why the game looks visually amazing, it's because the graphics are completely hand-drawn. The artistic style of Machinarium is undoubtedly impressive, and adds a ton to the overall experience.

Noodlecake Studios, the makers of Super Stickman Golf, have brought an interstellar racing experience to Android, recently releasing Lunar Racer to Google's Play Store.

Lunar Racer, which Noodlecake dubs "the next casual racing sensation," transports players to a variety of lunar locations (including 16 unique tracks)  where they can utilize missiles, mines, shields, thrusters, and nitro boosters to explode past the competition. It's worth noting that powerups are purchased with Moonbux, which are (abundantly) collectable during normal gameplay, or available for in-app purchase.

Viggle, a TV check-in app that's already seen popularity on iOS, has just seen its first beta release for Android. Viggle, for those who don't know, allows users to check in to their favorite TV shows. The app accomplishes this by "listening" to audio and comparing the sounds it hears to a database, matching them with a certain television show.

What makes Viggle more interesting than many check-in apps is that users can earn tangible rewards.

Keeping up with its trend of timely code release, HTC dropped kernel source code for the HTC One X today, the same day the device became available through AT&T. The code release includes kernel source for the One X across a range of carriers and regions, including Optus, T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone, and more, though the list notably excludes AT&T.

While HTC's release of One X kernel source is certainly a step in the right direction, the AT&T variant's absence is unsettling, and many are no doubt still wondering when (or if) the device may be allowed into HTC's bootloader unlock program after a controversial statement from the manufacturer Friday.

After the long-awaited launch of Google Drive, it was only a matter of time before users began seeing integration with Android apps. While there's no official Android API for Google Drive just yet, many devs suspected that Drive's Java API would work just fine, despite a confusing statement on Google's developer site:

Warning: Apps will not have any API access to files unless the app has been installed in Chrome Web Store.

After MoDaCo's recent report that HTC's Bootloader Unlock tool didn't work for AT&T's One X variant,  The Verge reached out to the Taiwanese manufacturer, and received a reply which suggested that the device has "restrictions" which prevent its bootloader from being unlockable:

HTC is committed to listening to users and delivering customer satisfaction. Since announcing our commitment to unlockable bootloaders, HTC has worked to enable our customers to unlock the bootloader on more than 45 devices over the past six months.
