Minibash, a 2D fighter that originally sprang forth from the Toribash community as a flash and iPhone game, recently hit version 1.0 for Android thanks to Nabi Studios. The game is a brilliantly simple 2D turn-based fighting game, in which players train, morph, and fight their respective characters - kicking, punching, and decapitating other players to progress through tournaments, or practicing in single-player challenges.
It looks like users of Samsung's Galaxy SII Skyrocket are getting a chance at some Ice Cream Sandwich goodness a little sooner than anticipated – earlier this evening, RootzWiki posted a leaked build of ICS for the Skyrocket, dated March 14th. From the build.prop, it would seem that this may be the official release build, but of course there's no way of being positive.

It's no secret – the mobile interface for Google's Play Store could use some help. A recent comment thread on Reddit points to the fact that many users feel that the Play Store's interface is just a mess. Others suggest that its level of finesse just doesn't jive with Google's overall habits of design. Amazon updated their Kindle app for Android today, bringing about two changes that add a significant amount of functionality to the app. Perhaps the most notable change is the addition of support for Kindle Format 8, Amazon's "next generation" file format which supports HTML5, CSS3, drop caps, fixed layouts, and scalable vector graphics. The format also features Panel Views and Kindle Text Popup, enabling "great fixed layout books including graphic novels, comics, and children's books."

Sony released the Xperia S open source archive today, providing all the tools necessary to build a kernel and start cooking up ROMs for the Xperia S from Sony's source code.
