One of the highlighting features of the Google Pixelbook at launch was the native integration of Assistant in the OS itself. It can be activated by either using the "Ok, Google" hotword like normal or via the dedicated Assistant key near the spacebar. But according to XDA, who have been playing around in the Chromium Gerrit, Assistant might be coming to other Chromebooks in the near future.

We're halfway through another week. MWC continues to loom ever closer, which is either good or bad depending on your perspective. Valentine's Day is next week, which has suddenly become a big day for sales (especially on phones), so I expect more apps to pop up around then. Today's list is respectable, about the same as Monday's, with a few goodies to be had. Enjoy, and I'll see you all on Friday.

Telegram, in its on-going quest to be one of the top messaging platforms, has pushed out another update to its Android app, v4.8. With this new version, users can stream received videos, set up an automatic night mode, and use their Telegram accounts to sign into other apps.

Continuing to expand its international Honor device portfolio, Huawei is bringing another previously limited-market phone to other parts of the world. The Honor 9 Lite, previously only released in China and India, is a toned down version of the Honor 9 and it is coming to Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and the U.K. for a mere €229 via Honor's online store starting today, February 6.

Even though the holiday season has come and gone (and thus the frequency of porch pirates), there are still plenty of reasons that someone might want a video doorbell. One of the more popular entries in the market, Ring, is currently selling the second generation model for $149 on eBay, saving you $50.

The OnePlus 5T has been a big deal for the Chinese company since the launch in November. Initially available in a plain old black, the 5T received a special Star Wars edition in December that was exclusive to India. That shortly arrived for the U.S. and Europe about a month later, minus the Star Wars goodness (that red Alert Slider, though). Now, OnePlus is ready to launch another previously-seen color for its Western audience. This is the Lava Red 5T... and it's a looker.

Monday has come again, but for many of you, I think today might be harsher than most. American football does not interest me in the slightest, but I hear the Super Bowl was quite the upset. Anyway, it's time to get down to some app sales, so have fun.

A long time ago in Android land, a new launcher appeared in the Play Store. Called Aviate, it promised features that were, at that point in time, unique and relatively unheard of. The gist was that the launcher would predict what apps you would need, based on the time of day and later your location and other factors. It was supposed to make life easier by doing the homescreen customization for you, but my experience with it proved that it was merely a disappointment and a frustration.

Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and that apparently means it's time for phone sales... who knew. Anyhow, Lenovorola will take $150 off the price of a brand new Moto Z2 Play starting on Sunday, February 4. That means you would only have to pay $349.99, which isn't too bad.

Sony is pretty good about letting the open-source community have a field day with its devices thanks to the company's Open Devices Program. Two new phones just got added: Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra. That means that they are open to flashing custom versions of Oreo.

Hello, and welcome to the final round of app sales for the week. February has just begun, which means that MWC is right around the corner. Before that chaos begins, let's sit back and enjoy the calm. Today's list, in contrast to Wednesday's, has quite a bit going on – there are even a couple of good ones – so have at it.

Welcome to the final day of January. 2018 is already chugging along, but if the rate at which time is passing (or the fact that it isn't Friday yet) has got you down, then maybe some app sales will cheer you up. I hope you like free customization stuff.

Many things come to mind when I think of smart home accessories: speakers, locks, displays, TVs, or maybe wall plugs. The list continues to grow each day it seems, but here comes Anker with a car charger that, while itself not unique for the company, features Alexa as a defining feature. Don't want to fork over the money to get Assistant in your car? Here's the next best thing... kinda.I will admit, when I first heard of this, I was dubious if not outright skeptical. After one of the Anker guys demoed the Roav Viva for us at CES, I became a little more intrigued and said I would take a look at it.Overall, I found that I do not dislike the Viva, even though it is fun to mock it every now and again. It has a small amount of utility, but a car charger with Alexa is certainly more of a novelty, especially when compared to its "dumb" counterparts.

OnePlus 5 and 5T owners might have woken up to a new Open Beta for their phones this morning, which is the second this month. As you might have read in the title, this update is smaller in nature, but it removes the controversial Clipboard app and addresses a few other things.

January is on its last leg with no sign of slowing down. Monday has rolled around again — I hope that everyone had a good weekend. Today's list of app sales has plenty of variety, so have at it and I'll see you all on Wednesday.

SōLIS is, in the grand scheme of things, a company new to the audio business. Centering around its oddly stylized name and its slogan "Leave no note unheard," SōLIS focuses on building hi-res audio products that do not necessarily break the bank. For some of us, that line sounds a bit familiar. The recent line of speakers, including these two, is aimed at wireless streaming aficionados. This market is currently dominated by Sonos and for good reason, but I like to see new players enter the field to test their hand.

It's the last Friday in January, so I find it fitting that today's list of app sales would have several highlights in it (versus Wednesday's). Some of the Beamdog games are discounted right now, including both Baldur's Gates (personal favorites of mine). You will also find some other apps and games in bold below.

I am not sure about the rest of you, but this week has simply dragged on for me — it was quite disheartening this morning when I realized that it was only Wednesday. But the show must go on. It's time once again for another round of app sales, and it's not much more exciting than Monday's. Hope you all like icon packs.

In its continuing quest to dominate your personal media library, Plex is launching a new way to watch your locally-stored content. Plex VR is coming to Daydream, and the base package does not even require a Pass subscription! This will come with fully interactive viewing environments, social elements like a friends list, and support for 2D, 180°, 360°, and 3D+360° videos.

The mid-range flagship market has been a heated place in the last few years, with OnePlus coming out on top and filling the void that was left by the Nexus phones (6 excluded). While it may be no shocker to anyone why this is, it also shouldn't be a surprise to see some of the big players in the world take notice of OnePlus' success in this space. Cue Hua-, er, Honor with the View10, a device aimed squarely at the 5T.
