Remember when Samsung promised to investigate the possibility of freeing up storage space on the software-heavy Galaxy S4? It turns out that's easier said than done. Case in point: the latest software update for the international Snapdragon-powered GT-i9505 (I9505XXUBMEA), which SamMobile spotted being sent to at least some GS4 owners in Germany. The updated firmware clears up 80MB of space, which is nice, but doesn't really put a dent in the nearly 7GB of system files.

The Minx Go includes no less than five integrated speakers (two tweeters, two woofers, and an auxiliary bass radiator) hiding behind its grill, and a claimed battery life of 18 hours.

It's not often that a puzzle game transcends the relatively tight boundaries of its genre to try and tell a larger story, but that's the idea behind Fallen Tree Games' Quell Memento. The only character is an old man, sitting idly in his ramshackle house, trying desperately to hang onto his life's memories. As you play through the game, the puzzles unlock his memories by thematically mirroring the objects inside the house. The game is $1.99 on the Amazon Appstore, but according to the developer's website, it will arrive on Google Play on June 29th.

Making slightly smaller versions of your flagship smartphone with the "mini" designation seems to be all the rage these days. Just a week after Samsung confirmed its Galaxy S4 Mini, we're seeing compelling evidence that HTC's One Mini (possibly codenamed the M4 - the One was the M7) is close to completion. Samsung's tougher brother to the flagship Galaxy S4 is a pretty poorly-kept secret, with multiple leaked photos, videos, and different sets of specifications coming out weeks before its announcement. Samsung confirmed the device today in a press release coinciding with Computex, painting a picture of the S4 Active as a device that mostly matches the Galaxy S4 for power and capability, with the ruggedized design seen on some of Samsung's Rugby smartphones. The Galaxy S4 Active will be available for purchase this summer starting in the United States and Sweden, for an undisclosed price.
