[New App] HP Releases Snapfish For Android, Lets You Access And Share Your Photos On The Go

It may not make headlines alongside photo services like Flickr and Picasa, but HP's photo-centric service allows users to store and share photos, create greeting cards, scrapbooks, blankets and a host of other physical products. Now, HP has released an app that allows users to access and share their photos while away from the desktop.

At the moment, the app only allows users to view the photos, so there go your hopes of creating prints of your photos right after you take them isn't quite there yet. Still, if you like to create memorabilia of your family photos (and why wouldn't you), this app will help you keep track of your photos.

[Leak] Verizon's Update List Slips Out The Backdoor, HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid RAZR/MAXX, and Xoom 3G/4G To Receive ICS

It's April now, a solid five months or so after the Ice Cream Sandwich source code dropped. We've all been waiting eagerly for our old devices to see Google's latest and greatest. Today, on Reddit, a Verizon employee dropped some slides that detail Verizon's plans for ICS launches. Notable devices include the HTC Rezound, the Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX, as well as the premiere Google tablet, the Xoom 3G/4G.

According to the documents, the Rezound should be seeing an update to ICS on May 9th, while the RAZR/MAXX pairing will be receiving the update later in the month, on the 21st.

Minecraft Pocket Edition Now Lives Up To Its Name, Finally Lets You Craft As Well As Mine

Minecraft, the wildly popular online creativity toy, has also had a pocket version of itself in development for a while. Up until now, though, you could only really mine. As of today, though, Mojang, the company behind the game, has released version 0.3.0 that finally includes (and you may want to sit down for this one) crafting!

Up until this point, you've been able to scavenge around for materials, but if you wanted to do anything with them, you're stuck. The new crafting system, called MATTIS because things need names, will allow you to craft new materials, tools, and armor. Minecraft is getting significantly closer to the mobile version we've all been wanting this whole time.

[Rumor] Google May Be Launching Google Drive As Soon As Tuesday, Offering Up To 100GB For A Price

Hope you're not tired of hearing about the Google Drive! As the rumors about Google's Totally Not Dropbox service leak out in ever-increasing droves, it gets safer and safer to assume the launch is imminent. According to Reuters, Google may be launching the service as soon as Tuesday. Or, as they're calling it across the pond, "today."

Reuters also reports that Google will be offering paid storage options going all the way up to 100GB for a price. No word on what that price is, yet. If Reuters is right, though, we won't be waiting long to find out. In any case, Reuters corroborates that 5GB will be the basic free package.

Dan Rosenberg's Presentation On Android Modding For The Security Practitioner Is A Must-Read

While not everyone who owns an Android device roots, the Android modding community is at the very heart of everything we love about our little green buddy. Security researcher Dan Rosenberg recently gave a presentation where he elaborates on root and modding methods, as well as expounding on the security implications of modding Android phones.

Rosenberg also had quite a lot to say about how carriers influence the Android landscape. Said Rosenberg:

"Of the 10 vulnerabilities that I discovered and used for rooting on Android, 9 of them are related to "stupid" file permissioning not present in the stock Android code, but introduced by the manufacturers"

This won't come as any surprise to anyone who's not fond of carrier skins.

While we're all waiting around for the Galaxy Note 10.1 to arrive and blow us away with its S-Pen powers on a Photoshop-equipped tablet, Samsung has set a couple new tablets loose on the market. Headlining on price, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 competes head-to-head with the Nook Tablet and the Kindle Fire. This tablet's advantage: Android 4.0. At $250, it's the cheapest way to get the full Android experience.

When we first heard about a $250 7" Android tablet, it wasn't from Samsung, but ASUS. Since then, ASUS has grown suspiciously quiet on the subject of its cheap tablets (perhaps because of a change in plans?), but Samsung has taken up the mantle.

Moborobo Is An Insanely Powerful Desktop Manager For Your Android (Or Other) Device

Google has never really made it a priority to give Android a desktop syncing and management client like iTunes is for the iPhone. For the most part, it hasn't been missed that much. Google can perform cloud-based backups of app data, contacts, email, photos, music, and just about everything else you might need. If you use all of its services, of course. Moborobo, on the other hand, is a beautiful client that does all of that and more right from your desktop.

Draw Something Updates Something, Now You Can Say Something, Undo Something, And Refresh Something

To say that literally every person on the entire planet is playing Draw Something right now would be an understatement. So, when OMGPOP updates its beloved drawing game, we take notice. Now, users are able to comment on drawings, undo their last line, and can use the now-familiar "Pull down to refresh" gesture to update their list of current games. Great!

The features make the already-popular game even easier to use. The undo, in particular, will be a welcome change to anyone who's ever drawn something imperfectly all the time every time. I'm sure there are at least a couple of you out there like that.
