While we're still keeping a raised eyebrow on this one, it looks like Samsung has sent out invitations to an event where they'll launch the Galaxy S III. Mark your calendars for May 3rd, and set your time zones for London time. Beyond those two tidbits of information, we have very little else to go on. Just take a look at the invite, sent to Tweakers.net, for yourself:

Unfortunately, we simply have to rely on Tweakers (a very large and established European gadget site) for the date, as it's not a part of the image the site has shared with us.

Alright, yes. The tower defense genre is flooded. Radiant Defense still deserves an honorable mention in the crowded field. The game, from the creators of Radiant HD, continues the neon-colored universe's traditions of quirky humor and colorful enemies. Curiously, though, it does not follow the previous game's 8-bit homage tradition. Still, we think it adds enough to the genre to be worth your time.

What's Different About This Tower Defense Game?

Left: Unmodified path; Right: Plenty of time to kill some aliens

If this game were exactly like all the others, it wouldn't be worth a mention. Radiant Defense feels a bit more like a grown-ups tower defense game, though.

Update:  Looks like Remedy made good on its promise to release the game globally, albeit a bit later than anticipated. Either way, go ahead and hit the widget, international users, you can have it now.

iOS got a head start in the mobile gaming arena, but as Android has skyrocketed to the world's most popular mobile OS, game developers have been migrating their hits to Google's platform. Now Death Rally is throwing its top-tier, top-down racer into the Android ring. The high-octane, testosterone-fueled, madhouse of pain and destruction has been initially released to our polite neighbors to the North, Canada.

Archos may not make the most headlines for its series of mid-range tablets, but occasionally, one of them deserves a mention. The Archos 101 G9 is a strong contender for your money if you're on a tight budget. The savants among you may want to hold off for a Galaxy Note 10.1, or whatever Google is cooking up for its tablet line. Still, with prices starting at $270 for the 8" 8GB version to $330 for the 10" 8GB version, it's difficult to ignore. Oh, and did I mention it runs stock Ice Cream Sandwich?

Hardware And Build Quality

On the inside, the tablet isn't a beast, but it's no slouch either.

Back in the day, Android games sucked. There were so few of them and the quality of most games was so awful that it was hardly worth playing. In those days, Radiant was a beacon of light in a cold, dark Market. It may be too soon for nostalgia, but color us excited when we saw Radiant Defense on the Play Store.

Yes, it's a tower defense game. Yes, you're probably sick of the genre. Thankfully, Hexage at least put in some effort to change up the gameplay to make things interesting. In addition to Radiant's familiar style of every color in the rainbow and then some, all glowing with an intensity that would make a rave blush, the developer has also added a mechanic that allows you to choose the paths your enemies follow, giving this game a bit more strategic opportunities than just picking your weapons, which becomes rote after a while.

Say what you will about Verizon's data plan costs (and we all will), but at least the company works for that money. The LTE rollout continues as Verizon announces expansions to what professionals are calling "a whole lot" of California markets, as well as Reno, Nevada. Most have already had LTE, but if you've ever yelled in frustration when you lose that precious LTE signal while driving down Highway 99 in Fresno, your commute is about to get easier.

The list of markets that are getting expanded coverage areas include:

Additionally, Reno is receiving some expanded coverage.

Dolphin Browser has always been one of the better browser alternatives on Android, and with version 8.0, it's about to get a bit better. In addition to a nice even version number, the update adds a menu bar along the bottom of the browser, an improved Add-on sidebar that's not confusing to look at, and a shiny new Dolphin button for easy access to the Dolphin Sonar and Gesture features.

The new menu bar is more than a little reminiscent of Android's Action Bar, however this one is still only triggered when you press the menu button, so it's not quite as handy.

Spacetime Studios, creator of hit game Pocket Legends, has released a new MMO for those of you who want to role play on the go: Dark Legends. In this vampire-themed game, you play as a demon of the night on the run as the world of humans has suddenly figured out that vampires are real. Apparently, in this world, smashing trucks, killing wildlife, and large-scale battles with wolves will inevitably end up on YouTube. Yes, what I'm saying is this game is more believable than Twilight*.

While vampire purists may still dislike some elements of the story (these vampires have superhuman speed and strength for example, but then who doesn't these days?), there's plenty of bloody human-hunting to go around.

While the deal advertises the phone as 30% off the normal $899 price tag (yep, that math checks out), we have managed to find the phone cheaper elsewhere, but not that cheap.
