Remember the super-sweet anti-theft software Theft Aware that we first showed you back in November? The creators of said software have pinged us with some pretty rad info: the licensing has been tweaked so you can now transfer it to a new device!

Initially, the license was tethered to the handset for which it was originally purchased, so once you upgraded your phone, you had to buy a new license to go along with it. Now, though, they are offering a new, separate licensing model that allows you to transfer your license from your old device to the new one.

You love pizza, right? And we all know you love Android... but now you can have some sort of socially acceptable ménage à trois with the two. If you interpreted that sentence as "Pizza Hut dropped an official app in the Android Market," then you are totally right!

With the official app you can order from the full Pizza Hut menu on the go, take advantage of special coupons and deals, and keep a quick list of all of your favorites for those I-need-to-get-pizza-right-now moments. Unfortunately, this app is US only as of right now, so all non-US residents are going to have to stick with the old-school way of ordering pizza: calling.

The newest update to Rovio Mobile's movie inspired version of Angry Birds hit the official Android Market this morning. The game was originally exclusive to the Amazon App Store, so naturally, it was the first to see the update.

The update brings 30 new levels as well as "hidden bonuses and juicy secrets" to the birdy-centric game, according to the official changelog. If you haven't already seen it, here's a video that shows the action:

The update is available in the Android Market now.

If you've been waiting in anticipation to make the Droid X2 your next Android purchase, but just can't convince yourself to wait a few days, then we have good news. You can score VZW's first dual-core phone in-store at Best Buy right now. We called a Best Buy to confirm - and the X2 is a go.

It will set you back $199 with a two-year agreement (or upgrade), but what's a little bit of extra money in exchange for instant gratification? I know we just told you the official specs yesterday, but it would be both cruel and unusual of me to leave out that bit of vital information...

Verizon's LTE network is probably the hottest thing smokin' right now as far as networks are concerned, and, as of today, it has been expanded to nine more major metropolitan areas including Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama; Greater Fairfield and New Haven, Connecticut; Gainesville, Pensacola, and Tallahassee, Folorida; Fayetteville-Lumberton, North Carolina; and Bryan-College Station and Temple-Killeen, Texas.

Also included in this rollout is an expansion to five areas that currently have LTE coverage: Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

VZW4G

This brings the total number of covered metropolitan areas up to 55 now, which isn't bad considering that VZW just started rolling out LTE in December of 2010.

When Amazon Cloud Player hit the scene, my exact words were "Google Music who?" and now that Google Music Beta invites are starting to rollout to the masses, I can aptly answer that question.

I've used Amazon Cloud Player as the primary music player on my Android phone since its inception at the end of March, so I've become quite familiar with how it works. The service has its pros and cons (like any service, I suppose), but overall I am a big fan. Now that I have had a day or so to play with Google Music, though, I thought it would be appropriate to put these two in the ring together to see who would rise as the victor.

Official word just came out of VZW's camp that the Droid X2 will indeed be hitting the streets on the previously rumored launch date of May 26. The arrival of the X2 puts the total number of new VZW phones to hit on that same day at three (what's up with phones dropping in threes these days?) alongside the LG Revolution and Sony Xperia PLAY, so anyone looking to pick up a new handset will have somewhat of a choice to make.

Shadow_Front_4, 4/16/10, 1:55 PM, 8C, 5088x2704 (480+2768), 100%, bent 6 adjuste, 1/20 s, R57.9, G42.0, B69.7

The X2 packs a pretty powerful punch over its predecessor:

  • 4.3 inch qHD display
  • 1GHz dual-core processor (the full press release made no mention of  Tegra 2)
  • 8MP rear camera
  • HDMI Out
  • Enterprise grade security
  • Android 2.2 (to be upgraded to Android 2.3)

Did you catch that last bullet?

Last week we told you that the private beta for Dolphin Browser HD 5 had leaked, and I guess the Dolphin Team decided that since the cat was already out of the bag, they should go ahead and give the users what they want and officially make the beta public.

UI-changes

This version includes all of the same features as the private beta, plus some speed and stability optimizations. If you want to give this updated beta a shot, head over to the Dolphin Blog for download.
