The YouTube app just received an update to bring a few new features, including a +1 button, "watch later" queue, and the ability to upload while editing video info, along with one unexpected issue. The app description now says it's for Android 2.2-2.3.3, and, as a result, isn't showing up on devices running other versions, including Honeycomb tablets. Despite this, I was able to pull the update on my Incredible running CM7 (Android 2.3.7), although Artem couldn't even see YouTube in the Market on his stock rooted Epic 4G Touch (Android 2.3.4).

Sprint

In order to remain competitive, Sprint is constantly tweaking its data plans for non-smartphone devices like tablets, mobile hotspots, and laptops. The most recent update to the plans came today, which offers an increase in bandwidth, as well as a drop in price -- always a good combination.

These changes apply to non-smartphone devices only. Smartphones still have unlimited data.

Beginning immediately, The Now Network will be offering 6GB of data for $49.99 and 12GB for $79.99; if that's too much bandwidth for you, though, there is a 1GB option (tablets only) for $19.99, as well as a 3GB plan (tablets and mobile hotspots only) for $34.99.

More often than not, we scoff at Amazon's free premium app of the day, because, let's face it -- there isn't much that screams premium about most of them. That's not the case today, however, because QuickOffice Pro and Pro HD (for Honeycomb tablets) are both free in the Amazon Appstore.

We knew that ASUS would be far from the only manufacturer working on a new tablet featuring the beastly NVIDIA Tegra 3 and Ice Cream Sandwich, and Engadget got their hands on some exclusive details of an upcoming Lenovo tablet that looks to give the Transformer Prime a run for its money. The tablet, said to be out by the end of the year, not only packs the Tegra 3, but 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a full-size USB port, a "fusion-skin body," and a fingerprint scanner/optical joystick on the backside, all powered by Android 4.0.

If you've owned a smartphone for any reasonable amount of time, there's a good chance you've heard of Ballistic cases, some of the most well constructed device protection units we've ever had the pleasure to lay hands on. Ballistic recently released its most popular case, the Shell Gel (more often known as the SG) for the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch -- and we have five of 'em to give away.

Big Daddy Goog just sent out teasers for an announcement event on November 16th in Los Angeles with the tagline These go to Eleven running across the top. For the uninitiated, this is a quote from This is Spinal Tap, a film about a hard rock band whose amps are crankable to eleven (instead of the normal ten).

Given this suggestive headline, it's probably safe to assume that they will be announcing the long awaited Google Music Store, although a the image below the announcement suggests that there may be more to it than meets the eye (see that T-Mobile logo?).

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed a rough-and-rugged case for your Galaxy Tab 10.1? How about a simple, elegant business solution such as a folio case? Today we're going to be taking a look at two such cases: The DropTech case from Gumdrop and the Candy Convertible from Gumdrop's sister, Hard Candy.

These two cases couldn't be more different; the DropTech is a rough, tough, tank-of-a-case designed to protect your Tab from almost anything, while the Candy Convertible is a very simple folio case that just offers the most basic protection.

How many times has this happened to you: While listening to music, something snags the chord of your earbuds, forcefully ripping them from your head. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, and I agree -- there are few things in this world that make me that mad almost instantly. Fortunately, there is an easy way to avoid such a catastrophe from ever happening again: a stereo Bluetooth headset.

Today we'll be taking a look at one such headset: the Jaybird Freedom Wireless Bluetooth (isn't that sort of redundant?) Buds.

While some people prefer intense, console-like games on their mobile, almost everyone loves simple "time-killer" games. A perfect example of one such game is Super Rope, a new climbing game that recently landed in the Market.

First off, Super Rope is not only fun and easy to play, but it's absolutely stunning to look at. The environments are vibrant and full of life, which drastically adds to the appeal of the game.
