We've all certainly been waiting quite a while for PvZ and Peggle to shed their Amazon Appstore exclusivity and land in the Android Market. That day has finally arrived, but it's not all good in the hood - in typical EA fashion, many users are getting the old "your device is not supported" crap when trying to install either game.

In case you don't recall, the original creator of both games, PopCap, was purchased by EA for a cool $1.3 Billion back in July.

Monopoly, a game that needs no introduction, has finally made its way to the Android Market. Initially, it was available exclusively from the EA store, and, more recently, the Amazon Appstore.

The game brings the same classic board-style gameplay that we all know and love to our mobile devices. It offers a nice 3D environment, as well as enhanced gameplay over the physical board game, along with the ability to play against friends or the computer.

If you've got a Droid Incredible 2, you may want to grab it and hit the Settings > About phone > System updates option, because a new OTA update just started rolling out. This one is mostly a big fixer, but it does add a bit of new functionality to the device:

Security Features:

  • Includes Google BT/DigiNoTar security patch.
  • Includes Google security patch for upgrading libpng to 1.2.46
  • Includes Wi-Fi password security patch.

A pretty major update for Skype just made its way into the Android Market, bringing a few new features and improvements along with it. Among said features is the ability to send pictures, videos, and other files to during conversation - a pretty cool option, no doubt. The Skype team has also improved the look and feel with new graphics, as well as improved the sign in/sign out process (which includes auto-sign in).

Update: We started hearing word last night that this update is rolling out, and that seems to be confirmed across the board. Hit Settings > About phone > Software update to see if it's available on your end. Thanks, Scott!

Verizon updated its support documents for the Motorola Droid Bionic earlier today with info of an OTA update that should fix a gaggle of issues with the device.

Among the fixes, you'll find improved 3G and 4G connectivity, "improvements in device stability" to "help avoid power cycles," improvements in the messaging application, and a fix for the issue that caused apps to disappear from the app tray when moved to the SD card, among others.

carrierIQ

Carrier IQ has been a hot topic as of late, but not without good reason. The "service" that no one had really heard of before October of this year has been raising eyebrows for the last couple of months, leaving us all wondering how much data was actually being extracted from our devices.

While it definitely has a deep ditch to dig its way out of, CIQ has started on that long and tedious process by releasing a nineteen-page document detailing exactly what information is collected.

If you have a Samsung Vibrant running CyanongenMod, then you probably want to flash a a stock-based ROM double-quick. Why? Because you can't call 911 while running CM on this particular device. Sure, you may not remember the last time you had to call 911 (if ever), but can you imagine what would happen if you were in a situation where you needed to call 911 and couldn't?

For this exact reason, the CM team has decided to drop support for the Vibrant.

In one of the the more recent weekend polls, we asked what is your ideal tablet screen size? - most users went for 9.51" - 10.5", which ended up taking about 50% of the overall votes. This is not much of a surprise since 10.1-inch is the most common size of Android tablet.

For those who don't already own a tablet, though, trying to decide what size to get can be somewhat of a task.

The Beacon from Griffin is an interesting little device - it effectively transforms your Android phone or tablet into a fully-functional universal remote control. It connects to your device via Bluetooth, and then transmits the signals to your TV, DVD/Blu-Ray player, digital cable box, etc. via IR, just like a traditional remote control would. It does all this through an app called Dijit, which is the meat and potatoes of the entire system.

Ready to hear some oh-so shocking news? Okay, here it comes - Facebook is the most launched app on Android. Well, if you want to get technical about it, Facebook isn't really the most launched app - it actually shows up in the list right behind the Android Market, but considering the Market is the gateway to all other apps (including Facebook, in most cases), it's pretty safe to omit it.
