A few days ago, we received a mystery package from the good folks at RadioShack. Inside the package were three phones - the Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon, HTC EVO Design 4G on Sprint, and Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T. Since these phones are ours to do with what we please, we've decided to do what we always do when we end up with extra goodies: give them away.

Since we have three phones to hand out, we're going to make each contest quick and dirty.

To see if your area is getting any love from The Now Network, head over to network.sprint.com and enter your location. You'll immediately see a list of enhancements done in the last six months, as well as goals for the next six months and a nifty map showing exact locations where these enhancements were made.

Update x2: The update is back on, and this time it shouldn't break anything. If you didn't pull it the first go around, you can go ahead and grab it in typical OTA fashion. If, however, you ended up with a Wi-Fi-less tablet after the initial update, you'll need to use the Kies desktop application to pull the the fix. [AC]

Here's the official word from Papa Sammy:

Earlier this morning, Samsung began releasing an over the air software update allowing Galaxy 10.1 users to upgrade to Android 3.2 while also resolving a Wi-Fi connectivity issues some Galaxy 10.1 users experienced following a previous software update.

It looks like HTC may be finally getting into the timely-source-code-release game, as it just pushed the code for a boatload of new devices to its developer portal.

Among the many devices, you'll find the Rezound and Rhyme on Verizon, all variants of the Sensation, the 10.1-inch Jetstream tablet, and the Amaze 4G on T-Mobile, just to name a few.

Samsung Galaxy S II_white_front

Who wants a white Galaxy S II? Good news! Your dream is going to become a reality soon enough - if you're on T-Mobile that is. That's right, an all white version of the GSII will be landing in T-Mo stores and online sometimes before the holidays. Vague, I know, but that's all the info we have right now as far as availability is concerned.

The white version will most likely share the same specs as the current, black version:

  • 4.52-inch 480x800 Super AMOLDED Plus display
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB built-in storage, microSD card slot
  • 8MP rear shooter, 2MP front
  • Android 2.3.x with Touchwiz

Anyone interested in picking one of these up when it comes out?

You know what you need on a Tuesday morning? Some news about three of the most anticipated things coming out before the end of the year all wrapped into one video: the ASUS Transformer Prime, the Tegra 3 processor, and Ice Cream Sandwich.

After the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich source code, the guys at NVIDIA got together with the Prime crew from ASUS to get a build working on the Prime as quickly as possible.

A few days ago, the guys at SGP sponsored a giveaway. After looking through the hundreds of entries, I noticed one accessory mentioned far more than the others: the Kuel S20 mobile stand. Naturally, I did what any good blogger would do - pinged our SGP contact and asked him for a review unit. Not only did he send one right out, but he did one better by hooking me up with the S10 mobile stand as well.

If you use your device for a mobile office, there's a good chance you have Quickoffice Pro installed (and if not, you missed a great opportunity to grab it about a week ago). It's already one of the best mobile office suites around, and it (and Pro HD for tablets) just got a little bit better - it hit version 5, which brings  along with it a herd of new features, tweaks, and improvements.

While we've taken a look at a couple of different portable chargers in the past, none have been as powerful as the 11,000mAh packing iCruiser from Trent. This thing is an absolute beast of a charger, sporting enough juice to refuel the typical smartphone over six times!

The iCruiser (ignore the iMoniker, please) is compatible with basically any device you can throw at it - everything from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to nearly any Android phone, Nintendo DS, and Sony PSP, this thing can handle them all.
