When it was confirmed that the Galaxy Nexus doesn't have Gorilla Glass, it was as if the entire world into some sort of I'm going to scratch the hell out of it hysteria. It turns out that all the kerfuffle was for nothing, as one Galaxy Nexus owner decided to put that big beautiful screen to the test.

I admit, it was a little painful to watch, but the end result was nothing less than spectacular.

If you've been envious of some of the awesome new games rolling out for Tegra devices, then you'll be happy to know that two popular Tegra-only titles - Shadowgun and Sprinkle - have just been updated to bring compatibility to non-Tegra devices.

Shadowgun, a futuristic action-shooter, is probably one of the best games for Android to date, sporting insanely good graphics, a decent storyline, and compelling gameplay. This is one game that should definitely be a welcome addition to any gamer's catalog.

Even though the Kindle Fire has only been out for a couple of days, rumors are already circulating about what Amazon could be planning for next year - a foray into the smartphone world.

According to a research report put out this morning by a couple of Citi analysts, Amazon appears to be developing a smartphone in collaboration with Foxconn, though the actual device will most like be manufactured by the same company that produces the Kindle line.

This time of year brings many common traditions, one of which is to send out holiday greeting cards to friends and family. You could: go to the store, pick from what they have to offer, buy the one that sucks the least, take it home, fill each one out... you get the idea.

Or, you could just grab this new app from Sincerely Ink called "Holiday Cards," skip the store, and do it all from your mobile device.

Galaxy S 4G owners, the wait is finally over - Gingerbread is officially available for your device. Samsung threw a couple more fixes into the mix as well, like a Google security patch (vague, I know), camera enhancements, and Wi-Fi enhancements.

Unfortunately, this one won't be coming to your device over-the-air, so you'll have to install Kies Mini and grab the USB cable in order to pull it.

The entire process seems to be pretty cut-and-dried, so it should go off without a hitch.

htc-vivid

Maybe you've heard of a new AT&T LTE handset from HTC called the Vivid. Maybe you haven't. Either way, HTC has gotten itself in a bit of hot water using such a risqué name on the blazing fast beast. By whom, you ask? Why, adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment, of course.

Vivid is threatening HTC with a possible trademark infringement suit if the name of the device isn't changed.

So, looky at what we have here: yet another render for a supposedly upcoming HTC device. This one is a far cry from the current crop of HTC phones on the market -- heck, it's even a whole different beast from the Edge and Ville. This one looks mean.

Not only does this monster look like it will beat up all the other phones and take their lunch money, but it's rumored to have the power to back it up.
