Ever since we reviewed Ski Challenge 12, I have been on the hunt for an equally incredible snowboarding game. Com2uS ended my search with the release of SummitX Snowboarding, a ridiculously awesome downhill challenge game for those of us who enjoy boarding more than skiing.

First Things First

Update: The developer recently added information about pricing in the description. Thanks guys!

I would like to mention a minor complain before we go any further - SummitX is listed as free in the Android Market and nowhere in the description does it mention payment of any kind.

gta

Rockstar Games released the revolutionary Grand Theft Auto III in 2001, and they’re back again to blow minds with a 10 year anniversary mobile edition of the same game. If you’ve ever played GTA (and I know you have), then you already know how incredibly addictive the game is and how easy it is to play for hours on end without even thinking of stopping. The mobile edition is just the same - I’ve been playing it non-stop for the past day and I still can’t get enough.

little empire
Last Updated: April 16th, 2012

Recently, I picked up Little Empire, and while it does have a few technical issues, I can't seem to put it down. In fact, I normally get bored of new games pretty quickly, but I've probably logged a solid 5 hours of gameplay within the last 2 days. Being a ruthless king is hard work, you know.

First Things First

Camel Games describes this game as the "World's first LBS (Location Based Services) mobile MMO." While I can't be entirely sure this is actually a world first, it definitely is worth mention.

android happy

If you've been checking out what the Android Market has to offer during it's "10 Billion" promotion, then you've probably had some difficulty in getting the apps you desire. Today, many users experienced error messages and cancelled orders as the market groaned trying to support the insane amount of traffic pouring in to snatch up some tasty 10 cent treats. Be grateful if you managed to grab the ones you wanted, because many were not so lucky.

google voice

While the Google Voice app has always been free, there was speculation that voice calls to the United States and Canada would begin to cost you money at the beginning of next year. However, new Google Voice users are being greeted by a pop-up window when they first use the Call Phone feature in Gmail that indicates otherwise.

See there? Calls to the U.S. and Canada are free in 2012. If there is anything I love more than free voice calling, it's another year of entirely free calling through Google Voice.

hexamob

We all know that dreaded feeling that comes over us when we accidentally delete an important file. However, if you haven't recently made a backup (shame on you!) there's no reason to panic if this happens. Hexamob, maker of Hexamob Recovery Pro, is here to lend you a helping hand with raising files from the dead.

If you're a citizen of San Francisco and own an LTE capable phone on AT&T's network, you're in luck. It appears that the carrier's new 4G LTE network is now live in SF. While it hasn't been officially announced, it seems to be going strong. If you're in the area, fire up your device and prepare to have your hair blown back.

Interestingly enough, New York City started seeing some high-speed love at the end of last week, but it has only been live in certain parts of the city.

soundtracking icon

SoundTracking made its jump from iOS onto the Android Market today boasting a new, Android exclusive (for now), feature. As the name indicates, this app allows you to keep track of songs you're listening to and post them to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare for your friends to see and comment on. Included with your post will be a snippet of the song, a photo, and your geo-location.
