The Acer Iconia A700 may offer mediocre performance when compared to the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700), but it's also normally $50 cheaper than the TF700 - to those on a budget, that may be a worthy sacrifice. Perhaps doubly so now that it's on sale for just 0 on Amazon (compared to $500 for the TF700) - certainly an impressively low price for a 10" 1920x1200 tablet powered by a Tegra 3 CPU.

Bluetooth may be a mature technology, but it's far from perfect. It follows, then, that headphones that use the standard would share the same imperfections in addition to their own. Such is the case with the Mobiband Bluetooth Headphones made by BBP; while they're certainly not bad, they're not good, either. Unfortunately, the performance simply doesn't justify the price tag of the headphones. In fact, mediocrity is the theme across the board, which is unfortunate if not entirely surprising.

A week ago, I posted a head-to-head comparison/buyer's guide of the Asus Transformer Pad (TF300), Transformer Prime (TF201), and Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700). The most upvoted comment: how is the internal storage performance? So I sat down to benchmark 6 devices.... and with the help of the team, ended up benchmarking 11:

With the flagship Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) release right around the corner and the release of the budget-oriented Transformer Pad (TF300) a few months ago, Asus has filled out it's line-up of 10" quad-core Android tablets. Obviously, most people would opt for the highest of the high-end (that'd be the TF700) if they were just looking to blow money. Unfortunately, most people aren't just looking for ways to spend as much money as possible, so instead, they spend enough to cover their needs.First, I've provided a handy-dandy chart to let you compare the major (and some of the minor) talking points of each tablet. Next, I'll run through a list of the big pros and cons for each, then copy and paste in the conclusion from my review. I've also provided links to the full-length review of each tablet, in case you need more details or want to get a (hopefully) clearer impression.

For most, a generic off-the-shelf microSD card is probably just fine. It may slow things down and take a little longer to access, but that's alright in return for lower cost. For some people, though, having their device slowed down by a budget microSD card isn't an option. Other people need high performance for recording 3D and 1080p video. It's those two groups that the SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card is for.

You may remember the name Heroes Call from E3, when NVIDIA touted it as one of the major upcoming games that would sport customizations to take full advantage of their Tegra chip. The Tegra HD (THD) version of the game was released last night at the low, low price of free. Thankfully, this might just be one of those rare cases in which "free" gets you quite a lot.

US Judge Issues Injunction To Stop Sale Of Galaxy Tab 10.1, Apple Parties Like It's Mid-2011

I have bad news, good news, and news that goes both ways. The bad news: one of Apple's 8,000 lawsuits has finally borne fruit, and it's rather substantial. A US judge has issued a preliminary injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, meaning that once Apple posts a $2.6 million bond, the Tab 10.1 will have to be yanked from store shelves. (That $2.6 million is in case the injunction is later reversed, so that Apple can compensate Samsung.)

Fun fact: a 1080p display packs 2,073,600 pixels. The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity (or TF700)? 2,304,000 - or 230,400 more. Most 1080p HDTVs are somewhere around 40-60 inches. The TF700 checks in at just 10. Compared to a 40" HDTV, that's 111% of the pixels in a package that's 6.25% of the size.
