Disney's Infinity Digital Toys Finally Come To Android With The Toy Box 2.0 App

If you're not familiar with Disney Infinity, it's basically the media giant's answer to digital toys like Skylanders, Angry Birds Telepods, and Nintendo Amiibo. The gist is that you buy your kids RFID-enabled collectible statues, they stick 'em on a base station, and then they can use digital versions of those characters inside the Disney Infinity game. Is there a technical reason that a completely digital character needs a $15 hunk of physical plastic to unlock?

Nexus Player Now Available In Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, And Switzerland

Google is often accused of having a heavy focus on the United States. That's certainly true, but come on - it's a US company. Can you really blame a company with limited hardware resources for prioritizing a new product launch in certain markets?

Hipchat Beta Gets A Material Redesign, Native Message Rendering

As our internal collaboration platform, Hipchat is special to the AP team. It's a great service for keeping track of assignments, chatting with team members, and sharing info, but until now the mobile app has been just a little behind the curve on design.

Today it looks like that's changing, as Hipchat beta received an update with material design.

Facebook Adds Free Video Calling To Messenger App, No Update Required

Facebook Messenger is adding a feature that, if you didn't use it, you would expect to already have. With today's addition of video chat capability, it has parity with the desktop chat interface that has long supported this. Instagram Updated To v6.20.0 With Three New Filters And Emoji Hashtags

If we had presses, they would be stopped right now. Instagram has announced not one, not two, but three new filters. That means three new ways to mess up your photos! I kid, some people are really into Instagram, so any new stuff is a big deal, and new filters don't come along often.
