The Essential Phone has been long-awaited, not just because it was developed by Andy Rubin (co-founder of Android), but also because it's a pretty sleek device. After the initial delays, it showed up for pre-order a month ago and began shipping to customers soon after.

But at least in the United States, only selling a phone unlocked won't get you very far. Essential announced that Sprint would be the exclusive carrier for the device, even selling it in-stores. Now the day has come, and you can buy the Essential Phone from Sprint starting today.

For a limited time, the carrier is selling it for $14.58/month for 18 months with Sprint Flex Lease. That's quite a lot less (total is ~$262 before tax) than the unlocked model, with the discount coming in the form of service credits. You can also grab the Essential 360° Camera for $199.99 or $16.67/month for 12 months. Just be sure to read our review before you buy.
