LG is really excited about its upcoming V30 flagship. There have been several leaks of the phone already, but LG is revealing some information as well. The company previously announced that the V30's camera would have an f/1.6 aperture, but now it has revealed some of the V30's software prowess.

LG's Android skin is getting a bump to version 6.0 (not to be confused with the Android version), with a few improvements in store specifically for the V30. The company confirmed that the V30 will have a floating bar in place of a second screen, which allows for quick access to various functions. The floating bar collapses onto the right side when not in use (I hope there's a way to hide that arrow).

Also, the V30's always-on display feature will have some new customization options. In addition to the existing clock, you'll be able to add the floating tools, a music player, or a picture. The V30 also has a slew of new security features, like unlocking with your face or voice - without the screen being on. The voice unlock is especially interesting, as it utilizes user-set keywords to open the device using Qualcomm's Aqstic voice UI technology.

The V30 is definitely shaping up to be an interesting phone. I think LG could have a winner on its hands, considering how much of an improvement the G6 was over its predecessor. V10/20 owners may mourn the loss of the secondary display, but hey, at least LG didn't get rid of the headphone jack.
