Cyanogen Inc. may be dying as a company, but the voluntarily-maintained CyanogenMod ROMs are still alive and kicking. Case in point: seven more devices are joining CyanogenMod 14.1, which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Six of these Android-powered machines have builds already up, but one doesn't yet.
CyanogenMod 14.1 (Android 7.1) nightlies - already up:
- ASUS ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL (P024)
- LG G3 (T-Mobile) (d851)
- LG G Pad 8.3 (v500)
- Nexus 5 CAF (hammerheadcaf)
- Samsung Galaxy S5 AU (kltekdi)
- Sony Xperia M (nicki)
CyanogenMod 14.1 (Android 7.1) nightlies - not up yet:
It's nice to see the Nexus 4 still being looked after, as it's over four years old now. Nexus 5 owners who'd rather use the Code Aurora Forum (CAF) to get the latest Qualcomm drivers in lieu of stability will no doubt be enthused to see CyanogenMod 14.1 builds for their aging devices as well.
If you've got one of the devices listed above and would like to flash CM14.1, be sure to also grab the appropriate GApps (which you can do from the new Open GApps app).
Note: This post was updated to add the Sony Xperia M.
