OnePlus is all about having the latest and greatest internals without paying a full flagship price. The OnePlus 3 came out a few months ago with a Snapdragon 820, but now there's a Snapdragon 821 in some phones like the Pixel. That just won't do, so OnePlus is releasing a whole new variant of the phone called the OnePlus 3T.

As you can probably tell from the images, the OP3T is very similar to the OnePlus 3. There are several spec bumps, which are bolded below.

So, we're looking at a modest spec bump over the original OnePlus 3. The SoC will be faster certainly, but I'm not sure how much of a difference (if any) that will make in daily use. The option for 128GB of storage will be appreciated, as will the larger 3400mAh battery (up from 3000mAh). The color of the case is also slightly different—it comes in either gunmetal (above) or soft gold (below).

The OnePlus 3T will still ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but the build of OxygenOS has been tweaked compared to what's on the OnePlus 3 now. OnePlus has basically integrated some of the community build features into this one. Oddly, the OnePlus 3 is getting a Nougat community build later this month. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just wait and launch this phone with Nougat.

Now for the catch—the OnePlus 3T costs more, and it's completely replacing the OnePlus 3. That phone is no longer available. The OnePlus 3T starts at $439 for the 64GB model. The 128GB will cost $479. So, it's more expensive, but still an impressive deal. The OnePlus 3T is launching November 22nd in the US and November 28th in Europe.
