At the beginning of the month, Asus announced that its latest Android Wear offering, the ZenWatch 3, would be available in the early part of November. It looks like the company came through with its promise. The ZenWatch 3 is now available to order for $229 through the Asus store and B&H. I daresay that this looks like a very nice piece.

So far, there is only one model available: the dark case with the brown strap. Standard ground shipping from Asus is free, but you can get next- and two-day shipping, too. There is no word yet on when Asus or B&H will actually be shipping these — the latter estimates mid-November — nor when the other colors will be available.

In case you don't remember, the ZenWatch 3 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 2100 SoC, a 1.39" 400x400 screen (no "flat-tire"), and "Hyper Charge" capability. On that last bit, Asus claims that the watch can get to 60% in fifteen minutes.

As a watch fan, I am intrigued. If you are in the market for a new one, this is a great option, especially with the meager Wear choices we have been offered this year. While perhaps not as affordable as its predecessors, the ZenWatch 3 seems to be making up for that with higher quality materials and design. Hit up the source links if you're interested.
