Sony just announced today that its PlayStation Vue streaming service is coming to Android TV. If you do not know what Vue is, it might just seem like another streaming option. It is actually more akin to Dish's Sling TV with live TV channels, sports networks, and HBO and Showtime across a variety of price tiers. Additionally, the "PlayStation" moniker might give the impression of requiring Sony's PlayStation 4 game console — it actually doesn't. For all of the cord cutters out there, this is just another good option in a growing market.

Android TV users who subscribe to the Vue service can go download the app and start streaming now. If you are new, you will need to sign up through the website where you will be rewarded with a free seven day trial.

Vue is also coming to PC and Mac in the near future. Apparently, it will bring some "unique" features, like a mini-player. Sony only gives a timeline of "coming soon" for when this will become available.

Adding these new platforms is pretty awesome, especially considering that Vue already supports iOS, Android, Roku, and the PS4. I have not used the service personally, but I know a few people who really like it. It is just always exciting to see more options for everyone out there.
