Asus announced the ZenWatch 3 several weeks ago, but neglected to provide information on when you could buy one. Irksome, but nothing compared to the Zenfone 3 that was available in some markets over the summer. Well, now you can finally plan to pick up both, if that's something you want to do. The ZenWatch 3 and all Zenfone 3 variants will be available in the coming weeks, but pricing on the Zenfone 3 is a little higher than expected.

The Zenfone 3 family is rather large and complicated (they all run Marshmallow). At the bottom is the Zenfone 3 Laser. This device has a Snapdragon 430, 2GB of RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p LCD, and 32GB of storage. It will retail for $199, and you can order it right now from Asus. The next step up is the Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.5. It still has a 5.5-inch 1080p LCD, but adds a Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. This one is $399 and launches next week. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.7 will retail for $499 when it comes out next week. This phone has a Snapdragon 820, 6GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch 1080p AMOLED, and 64GB of storage.

The top-of-the-line Zenfone 3 is the Deluxe 5.7 Special Edition (rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?). This phone has a Snapdragon 821, 256GB of storage, 6GB of RAM, and a 5.7-inch 1080p AMOLED. This one is really spendy at $799. It launches in two weeks with pre-orders now. The Asus site has this and other pre-orders, but I'm also seeing them at Newegg and B&H.

The ZenWatch 3 is not as budget-friendly as last year's ZenWatch 2, but it's not too bad. Asus will be asking $229 for this device when it ships in early November. There isn't a pre-order live yet, though.
