Like countless other people, I've accidentally deleted files I didn't mean to get rid of; it's frustrating, but you can usually find them in a "Trash" or "Recycle Bin" folder and restore them. Until today, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides users on Android who accidentally deleted documents they were working on were forced to exit their current app, open Drive, slide out the hamburger menu, click "Trash", and retrieve their work there. Pretty tedious, right? Don't worry, because Google's got a solution for you.

With the latest updates to Docs, Sheets, and Slides on Android, files that you accidentally delete or develop a need for later are now easily accessible thanks to a new Trash option in the aforementioned apps' hamburger menus. This option is almost exactly like the one that already exists in the Drive application, but you no longer need to exit whichever app you were editing in. For instance, if you're making a presentation about how amazing the Pixel XL is to show off to your friends and accidentally hit "Remove", you can simply slide open your hamburger menu, tap "Trash," and restore from there.

The updates should be rolling out to Docs, Sheets, and Slides right now, but if you haven't received them yet, you can grab them from APKMirror:
