Samsung Pay is getting an update today with several new features. Although, one of them will only work if you've got a Note7. You know, that phone Samsung says you should not use until you've had it swapped out. You should do that so you can enjoy iris scanning in Samsung Pay. All Samsung devices will also be able to take advantage of cloud syncing in Pay.

We've got a handy screenshot here that shows all the new stuff.

The additional gift and membership cards aren't technically part of the update—they're delivered as a server-side change. Updating the app will enable iris scanning and cloud restore, though. Iris scanning requires the Note7 or a future phone with that feature built-in. Cloud restore is cool; all your membership and gift cards will show up automatically in the app when you log in. Payment cards are too sensitive to be syncing, though.

You can grab the necessary updates to the Samsung Pay app and framework on APK Mirror if you like.
