After more than a few leaks, the LG V20 is now official. Revealed less than an hour ago in San Francisco, the V10 successor maintains the G5's design and many of its specs while adding several touches that make LG's V series devices unique.

Here are the specs you need to know about:

SoC: Snapdragon 820

RAM: 4GB (DDR4)

Display: 5.7-inch 1440p IPS + secondary 160x1040 IPS (513ppi)

Storage: 64GB UFS + microSD

Cameras: 16MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.4 wide-angle rear, 5MP f/1.9 front

Battery: 3200mAh with Quick Charge 3.0, removable

Measurements: 159.7 x 78.1 x 7.6mm

The V20, which totally should've been called the V12, looks quite a bit like the G5, but it isn't a carbon copy. It's constructed with aluminum and a silicon-based material on the back. The phone is just 7.6mm thick, which makes it even thinner than the Galaxy Note7. It looks a lot more comfortable to hold, but that doesn't mean it's any less durable than the V10 it replaces; it retains the V10's MIL-STD 810G rating. Also new for the V series is a USB Type-C port, and like the G5's, this one supports Quick Charge 3.0.

The second screen makes a reappearance in the V20. LG is saying that this tiny screen is 50% brighter than the V10's. It meshes with some of Google's new features quite well; In Apps, which we first saw a few weeks ago, can be accessed from it, as can Nougat's Expandable Notifications, which make it easy to reply to messages without leaving the app you're on.

LG-V20-Steady-Record-2.0

LG's new phone is the first to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat, even beating out Google's Pixel phones in this regard. Thanks to Nougat, multi-window makes a return (it wasn't on the G5). This shiny new software is coated in LG's updated UX 5.0+. The features that make V series phones what they are are intact; Hi-Fi video recording, Steady Record 2.0, an HD audio recorder, and an ESS Sabre DAC make appearances on the V20. LG has also partnered with Bang & Olufsen for audio, but only in select markets (not the US).

The LG V20 will go on sale in South Korea next month in Titan (gray), Silver, and Pink colors. Prices have not been announced, and neither has availability for other parts of the world. For the US, the Pink will not be available, but a pair of B&O headphones will be included with pre-orders.
