The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 was, for the most part, a very solid tablet. Now Asus is announcing the latest entry in that line, the ZenPad 3S 10.

This is a larger, 9.7-inch tablet that comes in at 5.8mm thick. The display is surrounded by a 5.3mm bezel. Underneath the screen is a fingerprint reader, the first Asus has put on a tablet.

The device has an appealing aluminum build, and it comes with stereo audio speakers. If you pick up a Z Stylus, it works with one of those.

But is this ZenPad better? Well, the display resolution remains the same at 2048 by 1536, only stretched out across two more inches. And the Intel Atom processor is gone in favor of a MediaTek 8176.

You get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which you can expand thanks to a microSD card slot. The 5900mAh battery can apparently power the device for up to 12 hours. When it's out, you can recharge the slate using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The device will be on display during IFA 2016 when the trade show kicks off next week. As for pricing and availability, we'll have to wait and see.
