Until now, Google's Inbox has been a sea of largely uniform text on the web. This was lacking in style, and Google has finally gotten the message. Starting today, Inbox supports rich text formatting.

You'll have access to the new formatting options when replying to an email or composing a new message. In the bottom toolbar, you can choose between 64 font colors, multiple font sizes, and new type faces. This is just what's there now, and more features could theoretically be added later.

The formatting options are similar to what we already have in Gmail, however they're a bit more accessible in Inbox. If your window is sufficiently large, the formatting buttons will be exposed on the toolbar, not hidden behind another menu like in Gmail.
