SharePoint has millions of users, but none of them are connecting to the service through a mobile app. That's because Microsoft hasn't yet released one. Users have had to settle for working through a browser instead.

That's now changing. Microsoft announced today that mobile apps are in the works for iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile. The iOS app will arrive first, with the other versions set to arrive in the second half of this year.

Microsoft has provided some details already. The SharePoint app will contain Sites, Links, People, and Search tabs, which will let you navigate through much of the content you're accustomed to seeing on your PC.

A later update will provide a space for company news and announcements as well. Plus you will have the option to sign in with multiple accounts.
