The high-end of the market attracts all the fame and glory, but millions of people are carrying around prepaid low-end phones in their pockets. And these days, the low-end of the market isn't what it used to be. Android enthusiasts will know that phone you pulled out isn't top-of-the-line, but the average person will think that 5-inch 720p display looks pretty snazzy.

AT&T is introducing two new Galaxy phones for its GoPhone line. One, the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime, is available starting today for 9.99.

No contract is required. $129.99 is the full price you pay for the aforementioned screen, an Exynos 3475 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, a 2600mAh battery, 5MP/2MP cameras, and 16GB of internal storage (along with a microSD card slot). It's not the worse way to get a taste of Android 6.0, which you may not have experienced yet if you're carrying around a low-end phone from last year.

The Galaxy Express Prime is hardly priced as low as phones can go. To attract buyers who are even more frugal with their money, the company will also release the Express 3, a $79.99 phone with a smaller 4.5-inch display and 2050mAh battery. It will become available through GoPhone on May 6th.

On that same day, AT&T also plans to release the Galaxy J3, a non-GoPhone device that will cost $5.67 a month with a Next 24 plan. This handset is geared for business use due to Samsung KNOX support. Expect more information early next month.
