The Galaxy S5 was water-resistant, one of the most hyped features of that particular Samsung generation. The Galaxy S6... wasn't. While the S6 and S6 Edge were huge leaps forward for Samsung in terms of both style and engineering, the loss of water resistance (not to mention expandable storage) was a bummer for some. T-Mobile employee Des would seem to agree, since he took advantage of the Ingress Protection 68 rating on the new Galaxy S7 to unbox the phone underwater. It sure beats the usual blogger's desk, right?

There's nothing particularly surprising in the video, it's just an interesting marketing tool. We do learn that the S7 (or at least the version that T-Mobile will be selling next month) comes with earbuds and a wall charger (which probably aren't waterproof, Des). The subtitles for the entire video, since the snorkel makes the presenter sound like Kenny from South Park, are a nice touch. The larger Galaxy S7 Edge makes a cameo appearance at the end of the video.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge open up to US carriers tomorrow, February 23rd. T-Mobile's version of the Galaxy S7 will cost $669.99 and the S7 Edge will go for $779.99, or you can split them up into monthly payments.
