When things get freaky in a moon base, who are you gonna call? Ghostbusters Space Grunts, of course. In OrangePixel's latest Android game, you take control of a Space Grunt and blast your way into said moon base to see what's going on. It's a dangerous mission, and you're going to die... a lot.

Space Grunts looks at first like a standard top-down shooter, but it's a bit more structured than that. It uses a loose turn-based combat system. After each move you make, the monsters get to move. If there's a monster in the adjacent square when its turn comes, it deals damage to you. There are three basic weapons at your disposal, each with distinct features that make it better for one situation or another. You'll also be able to improve your weapons over time. Space Grunts is a deeper game than it seems at first.

The Roguelike elements mean a few things here—death is permanent, the world is randomly generated, and it's pretty difficult. Roguelike games are also often retro-styled, and OrangePixel does like its retro graphics. This game has a very similar style to OrangePixel's other titles, and it looks nice if you're into retro graphics. Space Grunts is about $2 in the Play Store right now, but that's with the 50% off launch sale. I've only played it a little bit, but I think it's worth checking out.
