Motorola's Dave Schuster keeps everyone appraised of what devices Motorola is updating, which is nice of him. Today, he's announced the start of a soak test for Android 6.0. Marshmallow is coming to the 2nd gen Moto G (the 2014 version) in India and Brazil. This includes the LTE and 3G-only version of the phone.

As with past soak tests, only a small subset of users will get the OTA update. Motorola will then monitor for feedback and bugs in the new software. If everything goes as planned, the update could be rolled out to everyone in about a week.

Motorola has posted update details on its support site, and it's all the stuff you'd expect like enhanced permissions, doze mode, do-not-disturb, and so on. You can check that page for all the specifics.
