Newegg is one of the primary go-to online retailers for American tech enthusiasts, but no one ever accused the website of being pretty. The same can be said for the official Android app, but it's looking a little better these days. The latest app update, version 4.0, completely revamps the user interface into something much cleaner and more readable. Compare the older screenshots to the newest ones on the Play Store:

The category view is worthy of particular attention, allowing users to quickly get to the particular section of the site they're interested in... which is handy, since you rarely go to Newegg for a dozen different product categories at once, as with Amazon. Interestingly, the UI also scales up to larger tablet screens, making the stand-alone Newegg for Tablets app somewhat redundant. (It hasn't been updated since June.)

The app is available for all Android devices running 4.0.3 and up, and it supports the company's premium Premier shipping perks.
