In May of last year, Blu released the Life Pure XL, its first large-screen device made to compete with some of the affordable flagships of the time (like the OnePlus One). Today, the company has announced the Life Pure XL's successor, simply called the Pure XL. This new flagship model is the most powerful phone Blu has ever produced, and it comes in at a price that makes it hard to ignore.

To say this easily walks all over Blu's other catalog in terms of raw power is an understatement. And the fact that it's coming in at $350 is pretty insane - it's definitely out there to compete with both the OnePlus Two and Moto X Pure Edition. It out-prices both, and there's a good chance it outperforms both, too.

And it does it all without missing any real key features. It's got a fingerprint scanner, NFC, and quick charging - all things that are crucial to modern-day handsets that are trying to enter the "flagship" arena. The only thing I'd personally like to see here is wireless charging, but that's more of a convenience than something I see as a necessity.

We already have a Pure XL review unit on hand (and I can tell you it's pretty killer), so expect a full review early next week.
