The Mate S isn't the only device Huawei brought to this year's IFA. The company also announced the G8, a phone that is still premium but not quite as powerful as the Mate S. The G8 comes with a similar metal body and a 5.5-inch FHD display, but on the inside we're looking at a Snapdragon 615 instead of the 810. On the positive side, that's paired with 3GB of RAM.

The fingerprint sensor still comes included on the back, which you can use to unlock your device, answer calls, or control alarms.

The back also offers a 13MP camera with a sapphire lens, which is paired with a 5MP shooter on the front. Huawei claims the phone will be great for low light photography. Users will have 32GB of storage to work with, along with however much battery life 3,000mAh can provide.

Huawei hasn't yet shared pricing and availability.
