The Android Chrome beta channel got v44 in early June, and now it's time for that version to filter down to the stable app. You should get the new version in the coming days via the Play Store, but we've also got the app on APK Mirror for the more impatient among you.

Google has updated the official changelog for Chrome, so thanks, Google. Oh, it just says "Bug fixes and speedy performance improvements." Please try harder, Google. According to the Chromium blog, there are a lot of bugs and performance issues fixed in this release. The technical term used is a "boatload," and as we all know one boatload is equal to 1,054 fluid ounces... of bug fixes.*

The beta release for v44 also added features like improved add to homescreen, push notifications, and a fix for multi-column layouts. Presumably the same stuff is in there.
