Tapatalk, the social forum app, was updated a couple days back to version 5.0. The new version hopefully resolves some of the complaints user had with the changes that were introduced with the last major update in December of 2014. There are a number of UI tweaks and new features worth mentioning in the latest update.

Here's a breakdown of the key changes.

• Ability to Follow Other Forum Members: to follow another user of the same forum, just tap their photo icon then hit the follow button. New posts from that user will now show up in your feed. Stalker mode activated.
• Font Selection: you can now pick your font and text size and have it applied throughout the entire app. Fontastic.
• Improved Push Notifications: receiving too many notifications from Tapatalk? No worries, version 5.0 now allows you to bundle all your notifications into just one daily update of your subscriptions.
• Classic Sub Forums Browser Returns: This should make users who were less than thrilled with the last batch of changes very happy.
• Private Messaging UI tweaked: it now looks more like the rest of the app. Yay for assimilation!
• Update Discussion Cards: Material Design has been applied to this portion of the app and you can now mark a discussion as read with just one tap.
