We've all done it—you need to make sure you have a note or reminder so you email it to yourself. Google's Inbox app now gently urges you not to be such an impatient savage and use the proper tools instead. If you try to email yourself, it'll offer to create an Inbox reminder.

The banner pops up as soon as you select your own address in the 'To' field. Should you decide to take Inbox's advice and tap on the banner, any text you've entered in the subject and body of the email will be transferred to the reminder, which you can then enhance with a location and time.

It might be nice if Inbox also offered to drop a note in Keep, which would probably make sense in more situations. However, Inbox already has deep integration with Google's reminder system.
