The Soundfreaq Sound Kick might be a few years old now (we reviewed it back in 2012), but it is still one of the better portable Bluetooth speakers on the market. No, it doesn't have some of the features newer speakers have, like NFC, MicroUSB charging, or apt-X. That being said, it does have the one feature essential to make any portable speaker worth purchasing – great sound. The Sound Kick's unique pop-out resonance chamber gives it much deeper bass than one might expect from a speaker this size and audio is clear and distortion free even at high volumes. When you pair that great sound with a great price, it becomes a great buy. StackSocial just happens to have the Sound Kick at a good price right now, just $50, which is half of what the speaker retails for at Amazon and Best Buy.

Here is a quick rundown of the main product features for those of you needing more info before making a purchase:

  • Enjoy up to 7 hours of playtime with the built-in rechargeable battery
  • Stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth
  • Control the volume & playback functions directly from the speaker
  • Quickly connect to any device w/ a simple line-in option that works with a standard headphone jack
  • Enhance your playlist w/ full sound, natural bass response, vocal clarity & UQ3™ spatial enhancement
  • Charge your mobile devices w/ the USB power port even while Sound Kick is running on battery power

The Sound Kick ships free anywhere in the continental US and should arrive in 1-2 weeks. International shipping, unfortunately, is not available. The deal ends on May 20th, or when StackSocial runs out of inventory. Best jump on it quick if you don't want to miss out.
