Playworld Superheroes serves as an example that a game aimed for kids doesn't have to be second rate.

This immersive title gives players a chance to create their own superhero, much the way many of us have done in our childhood years. You create an imaginary costume using whatever household supplies you have lying around―whether that be a cardboard box or some stickers—and apply crayons and glue. Then you watch as the game turns your haphazard creation into a full-blown, customized suit of armor.

Playworld Superheroes gives players a full 3D environment to explore. The real world consists of a backyard with a treehouse, where you find the supplies with which you create your villain-fighting doppelganger.

The more exciting imaginary world consists of a futuristic city which you will defend from monsters using a combination of firepower and melee attacks. Sometimes you take cover on the ground, while other moments will have you pursuing foes from the skies.

The game costs $3.99 and it doesn't contain any in-app purchases. This looks like an experience kids, and more than a few adults, are bound to enjoy.
