Overkill 3 has been in development for a while now, including an Android beta test over the last few months. Now the game is officially out and ready to be played on your device of choice. It has explosions, shooting, and invisible guns. Wait, what?

Note in the trailer above the guns are invisible when being held by a character. It turns out Apple has been giving the developer a hard time (Overkill 3 is on iOS too) because it has decided to crack down on content in screenshots and trailers. To appease Apple, the developers made the guns invisible. The screenshots also conveniently obscure the guns. I find this hilarious, but it has little to do with the actual game. You will see the guns when actually playing Overkill 3, which by the way is a standard cover-based shooter. You take out the enemies that pop up in order to complete missions and earn rewards.

The environments are narrow, but very detailed and varied in this title. This is another game making claims about "console-quality" graphics. I don't know what that's supposed to mean. Overkill 3 looks nice, but a modern console game it is not.

This is a free-to-play game, but I haven't played enough of it to know how annoying the in-app purchases will be. I can tell you there are two currencies, one of which is rare and unlocks better gear. That's pretty normal for F2P games, but Overkill 3 also implements a timed "delivery" system when you upgrade equipment. You can skip the wait by spending money, of course. Proceed at your own risk.
